I have an old ceiling fan without a light fixture and it’s gone dead. Is it possible to buy a ceiling fan with a light fixture? I wouldn’t have to do any kind of rewiring? I’m assuming I just put those two wires and connect to the main wire?

My builder installed a saddle box that is screwed directly into the joist. Is it fan rated box? It has been 20 years and now I plan to install this model ceiling fan. Will that hold anyway? Thanks.

I have a question, all my plug outlets still work but none of my ceiling work it won’t turn on, change the breakers, everything seem to work under the basement and wire do have electricity but no electricity on the first floor ceiling light . So my old fans had this little black piece on them. I thought it was useless and didn't want it flying off thinking the previous owner had left a part. Turned out in those naive days I didn't mark where it was and removed it. It was a balance for the fan. Now the balance is off and the fan shakes the faster it goes. Are we now in a world where the level and balance is automatic? You can also now tell how old my fans are. I hope I can replace them all because I don't want to balance them. Good on the previous installer on how balanced he got it with that weight. My drawers also have a balance kit sitting around, but now all of that seems like I just need to get rid of the past.

Man.... I clicked on this video so FAST cause all I read was ceiling & DREO "drain" thinking we finally got a ceiling mounted tub filler LOL!!!! I know you're reading this & laughing. Had a buddy install a ceiling fan on a plastic box before. Thanks be to God no one was killed when it broke loose & crashed in his room at 2a. one night. Looking back we can laugh now.... Hoping all is well Liam, Dirty Jersey out!!

Yeah the big thing that totally sucks is that Dreo says absolutely nothing about how it will mount into the ceiling... Meaning they don't tell you on the website sales pitch that you have to go out and buy this box and you HOPE that it will fit the bracket. The mounting bracket should at least minimum be an optional package to choose. I get the fan, and I can't do anything because I have to go out and buy this mounting bracket and then hope that the bracket they want me to connect to it ACTUALLY DOES connect. A waste of time.
