Hello Dennis Blair I'm a little commenting on your video. I own three workmates one is the cast aluminum version and the other two have are newer and old. One I found dumpster another one I bought at a yard sale and the aluminum frame I bought on offer up. The workmate is the best workbench tool ever thought of and It's made in the good old USA. Thanks for sharing the video and information

Nice! I bought a workmate today for $20 at a garage sale. It's old and has a RP Hickman tag and it appears to have cast aluminum parts.

Very cool. Thanks for posting this. For anyone interested, there's a more in-depth article on the development of the Workmate in the back of 'The Workbench Book'. It's a neat story.

deezynar Thanks, I think that's where I first heard about him. He reminds me of my Father-in-law, who chose his own path (and still does... he's blind but still golfs!).

Blind golf, now I'd love to see a video of that! Seriously! That would be interesting and fun too.
