I Boxed, Played Football & ran Track my whole life & I must say, I've been hurt more in Track than both Boxing & Football combined. And Track was the hardest & toughest bc it's all you against the clock. Not only that, it was tremendously draining!

@@BreuckelensFinest Agree, track puts more pressure on your body, since your giving everything you got in a short amount of time, so you are prone to tearing muscles and stuff like that. Both sprinters and long distance however have different types of injury. Long distance has a lot of mental challenges, reason why I respect them, it takes a lot to tell your body to keep going even if it is tired or hurting
@BreuckelensFinest
@BreuckelensFinest 5 жыл бұрын
@@alphonsusho8962 Yeah you're right. Well said bc when I was boxing I had to put them miles in, 3-5 miles per day & that wasn't easy when you have to spar & train with the bags. And all i did was slightly over a walk kind of a jog to open up my lungs. So I can't even imagine training for the long distance events. Word up!

@@BreuckelensFinest Yeah, it's also those thing, you definetly know when you're actually working your body and when you're not. Although I hate doing sprints, they are a great way to burn calories quickly, I usually do 60m sprints. Doing sprints also naturally build leg muscles

Easily the hardest sport in the world if you are truly wanting to compete. Think about running 200 meters 15-16 times at a sub 24 seconds? And if you don’t make time you get another tacked on? Yea. You will collapse before that day is over. The point is you will never get to 15-16. But you mentally still try. So when meet time comes you run a 21-22

The different between champion and runner-up is tiny. Be the best on meet day. My track has snow on it today so training's done indoors on a perimeter track above the gym. @jjyoutube this is completely fabricated, the world record of last year was 49.94 and the record for this year so far is 51.34, so unless you're breaking world records and your name isn't on the list yet, you're lying. Here's where i got my information : www.athletic.net/TrackAndField/Division/Top.aspx?DivID=100696

@@shakenblake4533 not sure. he's running slow too. he ran 7.1 at the same meet Matherson ran 6.74. I don't know if its grades or not.

@@Trackguy We can almost assume that it's grades considering that's usually why D1 athlete's go to Juco, especially running a 10.21 PB!

I would love to do this easy workout! I know it’s relative because I do distance, so we do 8 x 400. These guys are way faster than me though

I'm sure they can do 8x400 easier than you can. They're going at above 90% of max speed with little rest. Huge difference

They are going almost 100% on every single run. You can fluctuate. They don’t have that option. That’s why sprinting will always be the hardest part of track and field. To run 19-21 second 200 you have to be FAST.
