IS THE FJ CRUISER A GOOD DAILY DRIVER & THE BEST VEHICLE FOR DOG OWNERS?

Two things you'll quickly learn with the FJ. 1st- Always back-up in your parking space... because backing in traffic with the FJ is an adventure and a half. 2nd, when you have passengers in the rears. Let them get out before you back-up in your parking spaces... otherwise you'll get boxed in within the side doors... Other than that, they're fun vehicles

Just bought a 2014 FJ a couple weeks ago. Very clean ride. Toyota put the cruise in cruiser. I traded by 2 door jeep wrangler for it.

We have a2008 Fj. It is the most versatile machine one can cruse 100+ mph on the highway,pass with no problem VVT it has plenty of room and takes a beating off road.Ours has 180,000 miles on it and daily drives down the highway and lots of wash runs and desert driving.We live on a rough dirt road,it has the original struts and shocks no problems.This vehicle is made to last (grease zerks all over the drive shafts slip yokes solid rear axle with locker in low gears) I could go on about that. The blind spots are not a problem if you know how to drive. I love my Ford f 250 it is great a 79 super cab with box bed it pulls a large trailer that the Fj pulls as well.1500.lbs of red bricks down the highway. 3 dogs smallest 80lbs. No problem,spent the night in the Fj.The rear window is great simple no electric slider these are not fun to work on. I got this Fj new but would not have a problem purchasing a 200,000 mile unit properly maintained.Mine does not smoke and is all original except batt.and alt. It has an inverter so l have the factory alt.to rebuild. ALWAYS use Toyota parts on any Toyota.Over 30 years of professional wrenching it makes a difference.If you need ball joints don’t go cheap keep those Toyota A arms and replace bushings and ball joints. Have fun in your 4x4ing what ever you have And have a great day.

I absolutely love my 08 FJ! Just did brakes all around, power steering pump, steering shaft, used transmission because mine was slipping, I do have 230k miles on mine, put a 3” rough country lift & fender flares on her & now she’s ready to go another 230k!! Cheers to all my fellow FJ enthusiasts 🍻

Paint those " tread marks " on Your spare tire cover a light brown so it looks like dirt. I did on mine and have had lots of compliments. That White back there looks funny.

Expecting Delivery of Mine next Week! Had been researching for Months and feel for the FJ! The hose out your vehicle is Key! I had already been thinking Carpet in cars is not Smart, to say the least. Even in sunny areas. Ready for slush on boots with FJ!

My only complaint (same as the Ram video).....the camera position is too low to see how it would feel if we were behind the wheel.

Apologies, I'm a little bit late to the party, I am looking into buying a used compact froadder, thinking about the JK Wrangler or the FJ 3.8. What would you advise? My priorities are highway/off-road ride comfort, reliability, and handling, in that order.

We still get them in the Philippines but it hasn't changed in 6 years. There's a bunch on the used market with low km though that only drove it in the city, just waiting for that desperate person to sell it at a good price

I'm guessing Toyota stopped selling the FJ Cruiser because it was cannibalizing sales from the 4Runner. They seem to be similar types of vehicles.

Im 70 and have had more cars and trucks than I can remember. My FJ is possibly the best all arounder I’ve ever owned. Right there with my 80 series Land Cruiser.

For the rear windshield, look into Ventlock for your pups. Comes in all different sizes so no one can jump out or no one can reach inside

What is Your intro music ?? Good stuff !! All You do when driving it turn Your freakin head and I see No Blind spots. Situation awareness as a good driver makes the difference ! I wouldn't take $50,000 for mine.

Just a side note on the Fj compass... I do love new and flat fender cruisers Does anyone know an easy way to set the compass on a Fj? According to the manual (it’s been a while since l did it last)you drive in a circle then the other way l had my wife read the instructions while l drove l remember it was a pain.My most recently batt.Change l have not bothered to set it.The world is very technical now days a compass used to just work. I will set it just put a new batt.in but the manual almost feels like Toyota is laughing at us while we drive in a clockwise circle then a counter as my wife instructs me it’s funny and years ago we were laughing trying to set a compass,good times!!!

I get 20 MPG on a road trip with My 2014 FJ - -I didn't buy it for milage at all !! Great review dude. Nice job - - - Lovin My FJ too !!!!
