initial impressions of the worksharp benchstone sharpener.
its a 9/10. the stable and sturdy system allows accurate sharpening with ease.
it can handle a wide range of knives and tools, axes and machetes!
the rocking feature for curved blades is genius,
the only gimmick is the angle guides have 2 sides, 20 and 25 degrees. a good startup, and they sell a 2nd set for 15 and 17 degrees, so you can be more accurate with the types of knives and items you have.
its pretty easy to lift the stone out of the base and free hand it on axes and splitting mauls.,
i would have loved to see a magnet systems for the plates just lke the field sharpener so you could easily replace or add different grit plats,
the grits are appropriate and have a large size ,.this helps there longevity over time. the ceramic finish is an nice touch too.
overall im very happy with it.

yess it is! i live it, i uise the ceramic to just hone my kitchen knives and keep them sharp, the diamonds are still going strong, but ni wish they would make an extra set with extra course and extra fine plates

3 sided stone comes apart with one screw. No need to send to WS
