You can do it in stages while shifting contents as well. Thanks for showing us how you leveled out the uneven concrete floor with a more comfortable wood based floor. I suppose that's something I will be doing with our building. I didn't want a concrete floor without in-floor heat. This is a good solution to that problem. I'll let the concrete be where the cars will be parked, but the rest will get a raised floor for comfort. Thanks for the details.

Placing the barrier below the floor to help keep moisture out is a good idea. Not sure where you live, but you could have also placed some 1/2" to 1" faced foam board on top of it as well to help insulate it a bit. The stuff is relatively cheap.

Floor sheets - with OSB the recommendation apparently is 2-3mm gap between boards to allow for expansion. Here the tongue and groove mated tightly from banging together. Not worried about seasonal humidity/temp expansion? Or does that type of board have some clever trick built into the mating surface?

@@mikel9567 How so? They are attached from inside the rim joist. The offset is on the other side.

That’s just where the layout happened to end. Don’t really need the ramp bang tight up to that door.

@@craftedworkshop That makes sense. Does that door even open? Wouldn't it run into the ramp?

I think you mis"d the guidelines, the guidelines are a quarter inch per foot fall that's why in 4' you could drop it 1"

From what I've read, it's a 1:12 pitch minimum, which works out to 1 inch per foot. 1/4" per foot would be extremely shallow.

I'm confident I would have simply poured self-leveling concrete over the entire area to level everything. I might would have made it flush to the steel for the frame machine and slope the concrete for the "ramp" or transition. I think the wood platform was a poor solution and will, ultimately, be a regret.

It would have been about 8 inches of self leveling concrete. I consulted with a few concrete guys in the area and they strongly recommended against that option.
