Just got my Axminster 3 TPI blade today and swapped it over in readiness to cut some 2mm x 60mm x 760mm lengths of Yew for a Lute body I'm building. The cut is just brilliant, some minor saw marks, but I can use a cabinet scraper to remove those. Very pleased with the 1950B, it's a nice quality bandsaw, capable of its specifications. I can certainly recommend it.

Thanks... can you do a video about the Axminster Craft AC318BT Benchtop Thicknesser? There's nothing online and would be good to see a detailed presentation.

Great, just great. Thank you for sharing. What extraction unit do you use please?
@axminster
@axminster 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Christian, the following reply is from Craig - "I use all sorts of extractors. I am blessed here withmany different types. For a small bandsaw youve a couple of options. The small vacuum type extractor works very well on a bandsaw great at collecting & containing the fines dust - www.axminstertools.com/axminster-craft-ac50e-50l-portable-dust-collector-105251 or www.axminstertools.com/numatic-nv750-workshop-vacuum-extractor-230v-702413." I hope this helps :)

I inherited a nice delta and put new guides, truesmd the table, got a half inch 80$ blade, put the guide rail on and blade lowered right above the work and still the thing fucks right on off on me.. tried going slow, fast. 6tpi , 18tpi, tried various tooth patterns. I just dont get it. Got bubble levels on everything, even my safety glasses and got one in my watch.. im stumped..

Yes but how do you get a straight cut when you start with both sides uneven.
@axminster

Hi Ken, Craig says: 'You can either use a hand plane to flatten one side or draw a line down one edge of the timber & carefully follow that line.' Hope that helps

Your straight edge is not giving you a true reading because of the set on the teeth
