I remember one day seeing Jack driving a John Deere tractor with a cattle trailer through Skryne. He’s just so famous just like every other guy that works permanently in Finnegan’s.

Paul/mick. I do a good bit with ride ons and small petrol equipment. This new ethanol fuel has really exaggerated the problem of fuel being left in over winter or prolonged periods of storage. From my experience it seems to separate in the tank and give the appearance of water. Goes like a clear jelly within carbs and I've even been told it can start to slightly break down plastic tanks, gaskets and o rings. I've fitted the little briggs inline fuel shut offs and advise to shut off and allow mower run to empty carb bowl. I'm currently trying to research an additive or treatment to try limit the problem. They'll drive us to battery/electric by hook or by crook 🙈

Purchased a new hedge trimmer today and the lad I was dealing with said that this E10 fuel if left in tanks / engines and fuel cans longer than 60 days will start to play havoc with carbs as it forms a jelly like substance with the 10% ethanol in fuel. I was recommended an lubricity additive that you add 25ml to 25 litres of petrol. It’s suppose to lubricate and protect the upper part of pistons from dry fuels i.e. E10.
