I love that Asian companies unapologetically embrace the euro-centric aspects of ballets, whereas if it were an all-black American company it would be altered and called something like "Creole Quixote"

@@katherinebervera4790 It's not a matter of Creole Giselle not being good, it's wonderful. The point is that the culture of America denies black companies the freedom to do a traditional Giselle, and the obstacles to the success of such a production would, unfortunately, largely come from the black community itself: The 'Black Police" who take it upon themselves to criticize any black person or group that doesn't fit into their definition of what is acceptable within the black community. Asians and whites do not deny themselves such freedom, in fact, a white person or group can adopt elements from any culture they choose without any major criticism from within the white society that questions their whiteness.
