World Bicycle Tour Gear List - Packing for Cycling Middle East & Africa

I am about to start my bicycle trip across Middle East & Africa, and people are asking what gear I’ll be taking on this tour. When people look at my bicycle loaded with so many bags-3 bags at the back, 3 bags in the front, and a small backpack. So, they often ask me the question, "Kamran bhai, what is inside these bags?"

heavy load I prefer the bikepacking style. Of course, it seems unnecessary to me to carry loads as much as you do. I don't produce content, I just don't carry electronic materials other than iphone and backup power supplies. I travel with my one-man tent and spares from each of my clothes and sometimes I was getting closer to myself to see if I was heavy :) I won't ask anymore, my friend, you are great

Best of luck Kamran, safe journey. A couple of good additions (which you might already have) would be a solar charger (usually they come in the size of a large phone) and a water bottle with filtration system (especially for most of Africa). Good luck!

yeah was thinking also about (clean) drinking water might be an issue in more remote areas. And also Malaria pills for emergency chases is perhaps also a thing to consider.

Nice to see you have the Santos Travelmaster 3+ with belt and hydraulic brakes. I bought this bike in 2019 but I chose the Rohloff instead of the pinion. This year I finished a 11000 km trip to Turkey and back home (Belgium) through Greece, Italy, France. Since 2019 I have now cycled 32400 km and never had a serious problem with this bike. The only little problem I had was replacement of the two bolts fixing the kickstand. (The kickstand has too cope with a lot of weight!) I subscribed to your channel and will check all of your videos! This one is the first I watched, and I find it is well done! Looking forward to see more! Good luck with your trips!
