TIPS FOR SINGING THIS (from a theater kid) • PLEASE take at least 5min to warm up. that way you won’t hurt your voice, and you will sound better. • when trying to belt the high notes: visualize pushing down into your stomach. stand up straight and put your hand on top of your head (jack kelly’s santa fe, anyone?) it helps open up your vocal passages. • DRINK WATER
@Jam4z798 Жыл бұрын
im a guy and my natural voice is quite low, i can sing this since i have a massive range but my tip would be this: If you have a lower voice, dont try to sing it higher, bring it down a key so that u dont die (I speak from experience, the first time i hit the renee's note i nearly fainted) then build it up :)

WOW! I have been teaching for 40 years and specializing in MT (CCM) for 18 of those years. I've never heard of the hand thing. Maybe I'll try it, who knows? My tip? We belt notes, not songs. Brighter is healthier for belting (some exceptions); use mask resonance especially when doing Mix Belt.

ADVICE FOR ANYONE WHO SEES THIS AND IS STRUGGLING WITH THE HIGHER NOTES: As an alto myself, the notes are a pain. Keep reminding yourself to use your diaphragm while singing this. There are a lot of vocal warm-ups on KZbin that focus on training your diaphragm, I would really recommend training up your diaphragm before singing this. It’s taken me ages But my diaphragm has adapted to be able to support the high notes due to practising while singing this. A vocal warm up is also useful so you don’t damage your vocal chords. Hope this helps anyone who sees it xxx
@SASHA_CMUSIC Жыл бұрын
Update: i can now hit the renne repp note your diaphragm is more important than any part of singing. If its not trained right you can damage your vocal chords with the high notes

@ameliaawan61884 жыл бұрын
Musician here! It's probably because people naturally feel more confident when singing with other people, when they sing by themselves they're more exposed and hence, tend to clam up (everyone does in certain degrees). Plus with the soundtrack you have a reference for all the notes.
@helo64094 жыл бұрын
@@ameliaawan6188 I think it's more because of the note reference because when I sing with more than two people, I sing off-key and super high.
