This should have been an Olympic event before Breakdancing. Would have loved to have seen different indigenous people from all over the world come together to showcase their talents.

I agree. So few can be so accomplished 🎯 though. Its other-wordly.

Olympics should be an athletic competition with an equal playing ground for participants from all across the world to compete in. Dance is a ritualistic art form and comes from the very roots of tribalism and tribal tradition. If this is your vision to have this show cases in an indigenous tribal event, that would be interesting. Most tribes across the world dance for difference reasons relation to battle, war, weather, grief, courage, worship, celebration, etc. The dances have deep meaning to the tribes. Break dancing began in the inner cities, from hip hop culture. I agree, it is nothing compared to tribal dances of indigenous people.
@ridge75244 ай бұрын
@@NurseChapel_NCC1701whatever that lady was attempting to do at the Olympics didn't come close to what breakdancing is. It was insulting to the culture of hiphop and its roots. I wouldn't mind seeing it done right by those from the culture. Those who live it. I wouldn't mind seeing tribal dancing either.💯🥂💐

Brought me to tears! As a privileged, white woman whose ancestors were probably not the nicest...I thank you for this dance and express all my sorrow and apologies on behalf of my family ancestry! I am so happy I can be a part of seeing your culture and continue to appreciate and learn! Thank you for sharing!
@RoxanneSharbono-mb8ol Жыл бұрын
Your ancestors also brought medicine, improved housing with plunbing,education, and a lot of good. In all nations, there are good and bad things to be ashamed of and things to be proud of
@crazyazmommy4 ай бұрын
Don't allow mind control to make you have white guilt, that is a psychological disorder being pushed , an agenda. How do you know what your ancestors did or didn't do? What does that have to do with today anyway? And because a certain group was persecuted (as ALL people groups have been) that they were the "good people" we should always go off character. The native people are to be highly reverence, respected and we should support them in all they do to keep their heritage and customs alive and thriving but why should we not reverence and do the same to all cultures? We have more in common at the very end of it and beginning of it all if we unite under humanity united as one as children of light with different tribes and different culture. The spirits we battle are dark forces but can not be judged by a skin color, race or religion
@Teresa-y7t4 ай бұрын
Thank you for your support. I am Indigenous and accept your heartfelt apology. You didn't do it, but thanks for apology on behalf of your ancestors.
@cath.lamontagne53574 ай бұрын
Your ancestors might have been indentured servants- not necessarily tyrants. And half of them-the female half- were not allowed to say much.
@Teresa-y7t4 ай бұрын
@RoxanneSharbono-mb8ol The Indigenous of the Americas and the Romans were the only ones with a sophisticated system of sewage, while everyone else was still ankle deep in animal and human feces. You had amunity to dirty diseases, and we didn't . As far as medication, we are still experts at natural healing with natural plants. Your ppl make most of your medication from these plants and charge a fortune for it. Do you think that the sophisticated observatory found in the Americas was there for a decoration? You use the 365-day day calendar every day by Maya calculations. The ancient culture of the Americas was one of the most advanced in ancient history. Very typical of the USA narrative of the Indigenous of the Americas. The USA narrative of the Indigenous of the Americas is so skewed that you can hardly find any truth in it anymore. Your world is small, very small about the Indigenous ppl of the Americas.

Honest question, How do they "Score" this?
@amethyst_storiАй бұрын
I looked it up and it said that there are five judges that judge based off of precision, timing/rhythm, showmanship, creativity, and speed. 1 is the worst score you can receive, and 10 is the highest from each individual judge
