FABULOUS DANCING YOU BOTH It's because of you guys' dancing performances that has helped me get through my mild Autism disability challenges and which inspires me to be successful at my current company Mobileye My name is Jonathan I am twenty five years old. I have lived in Jerusalem for over 3 years now. I also write creative writing and I love Ireland, its resilient and brave-hearted people, and Irish dancing.

Hard shoe tends to be more stationary by nature, hard shoe is about the rhythm so it is going to be short movements to get the speed and accuracy . Soft shoe is more lyrical and ballet like so there is more movement.

When you spend you life dancing on broken rocks at the edge of sheer cliffs then that squares easy to stay on lol I'm practice and more practice and even more practice until you don't even realize your doing it and every movement isn't a thought but a thoughtless reaction to the music

This is dedication to this hobby, many hours and hours of dedication and practice!!! One of my parents just showed me this and I am also a twin too but I do not Irish step dance at all , but I have a cousin that used to though!! It looks very hard at that level of competition, the landscape is gorgeous, they look like they are in sync with each other oh how I would have loved to do that when i was younger!!!! But no place would accept me because I have special needs, no place would accept or accommodate me and my needs well done to those two, hard work gets you to places that you would go in this level of competition and dedication and practice they must've practiced very hard to get the counts right but I was in band when I was in high school, but we were not a competition band at all, but I can count the beats in my head from marching band, but this would be very hard, especially when you are dancing with the song it must be fun and very hard to be able to do!!!

Amanda I hope you find the free Irish Step dance resources available on KZbin as well as the free shared resources offered by libraries and know you can usually modify most dance and at least learn the basics, enjoy the music and dress, and improve, no matter what your age or disability if you can see or hear and you really want to you can always modify a plan to improve and dance to the best of your ability, even if the steps you perfect are danced in your head, do try again and again if you think it will give you joy or may help others similiarly challenged, please keep learning and dancing lass.

I do not Irish step dance at all ma'am or sir no one would take me because of my special needs I used to flag and dance in high school but it was all adapted for me. I just like to watch it i don't want to do it I just enjoy watching it. It looks fun but I am too old to do it I just enjoy being able to watch it here on KZbin this looks awfully hard for someone like me to be able to do at All I do not think I have the stanima or the strength to do it

KEEP YOUR ARMS STILL.
@aprilwilson58934 жыл бұрын
Trust me, they how to keep their arms firmly at their sides. They were world champions in past years. This isn't a traditional dance that is to be used for competitions. This is a contemporary fusion of Irish dance, hence the freedom of the arms. Niamh is now Saoirse in Lord of the Dance. Yes, THAT Lord of the Dance. I don't think she would've gotten the job if she didn't know what she was doing.
@grumpyoldman16186 жыл бұрын
Without music? How do you know they are dancing? Any fool can throw their legs about - its the musical interpretation that makes a dancer.
@aprilwilson58934 жыл бұрын
If you think this is throwing your legs about, I look forward to seeing your vids! I'm sure you can do better!
@grumpyoldman16184 жыл бұрын
@@aprilwilson5893 It's not dancing and you can't see it. That's the problem. What they are doing has no relationship to what is happening in the music.
@aprilwilson58934 жыл бұрын
Not everyone can appreciate this type of dancing. And that's okay. I find it beautiful, whereas hip hop does nothing for me (though I can appreciate the time and dedication dancers put into it). Guess it's a difference of opinion.
@grumpyoldman16184 жыл бұрын
@@aprilwilson5893 It's not dancing. Sean Nos is dancing. If you don't know the difference between this and Sean Nos you have a problem. The aim of traditional Gaelic dancing is to creative a percussive effect that matches the music. The foot tapping, although very skilled has absolutely no linkage to the music.
@aprilwilson58934 жыл бұрын
This is a modern take on Irish dancing, a fusion, if you will. I never said it was Sean Nos dancing. This is much closer to the more modern competition dancing that's so popular (and yes, I realize this isn't quite that, either). No problem here. Not everything has to be defined within a traditionally narrow margin of supposed acceptability. To me, there is a musical interpretation here, whereas to you, there is none. So, we'll just have to have a difference of opinion. Have a good week, good sir :)

And Niamh is now Saoirse in Lord of the Dance. Sure, she doesn't know what she's doing;) After all, a contemporary fusion dance should never be danced as anything but strictly traditional, ha.
