World Champions 2019 - Inveraray & District Pipe Band Dance Off the Field!

Under P/M Stuart Liddell and Leading Drummer Steven McWhirter, Inveraray annexed their second World Title at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow on 17 August 2019.
Here the Band has the honour of leading the other participants from the field (and then does a wee dance).

What is your opinion on the last medley of Scottish Power ? I found it absolutely great. Did not see their Friday's performance though.

Over the two days, every time that I went near Power, they stopped playing! I heard them at the UK Championships and really liked their medley. I've had a bit of a soft spot for them over the past few years as I think they get overlooked. From the talk round the Green, their Saturday medley performance was only topped by Field Marshal - although Inveraray obviously took the Crown. At this level it seems that splitting the top six comes down to personal preference in medley construction now. The playing is almost perfect across the board.

I’m fairly sure those were (kinda) the steps of the ceilidh dance that you would dance with a partner to that tune
