I always used to consider Stronghold the quintessential "build up fast, attack attack attack" faction. Is Fortress a lot better than Stronghold, as far as fast/early game factions go?
@ukaszrzezniczek27202 жыл бұрын
fast game is very specific for this template, the one who attacks first usually wins. As far as stronghold goes, it is considered rather slow town bc it is hard to take big creature banks early.

Question for someone who knows the comptetive Heroes 3 scene: How come some of the past best Heroes 3 players didn't advance father in this tournament, eg Gogomuls, Dawidu, Marretti, Haunito. Is it because they don't play Hota as much or what?
@markoadam66192 жыл бұрын
Gomunguls and Dawidu still plays competitively Maretti only playing JC here and there and I haven't seen Huanito in a while(but he only played Sod)

Don't understand, why does color of the hero (blue or red) matter so much? i tried searching for this and i can't find anything worth reading. As far as i'm concerned, there's absolutely no difference and just a color preference, i'm sure there's more than that?

The color decide who goes first, that's why it matter so much.

Watching this tournament I had a question Why there is a -7200 and 7200 gold above the players? What does it serve?
@constanza86 Жыл бұрын
That was a bid for color, Red player, once simultaneous turns end, is first to conduct the turn. It gives some advantages. For example, blue (2nd) player is rolling for some specific spell in the town. Red player goes in o that town and finish the roll to some random useless one. Or he can buy some useless building, so that blue player can't get maximum from that town, even if he gets it back in his turn.

6 hours of gameplay with no final battle?...
@scfan7231 Жыл бұрын
I just zapped through the 6 hours. It ends up with 1 battle, and they don't even fight it, and from there the game is decided, right? And before that, they spend hours and hours microing with all the little tricks to preserve their L7 units a bit better. Not made for multi player.
@balmipour10 ай бұрын
What you might have missed is one of the players actually "lost" his main hero somewhere among his castles in his turns last seconds, making him (and his army, left on some secondary hero) very vulnerable. But yeah, gotta agree, not made for multiplayer, lol xD Watched the whole thing out of curiosity (got a lot of free time atm...), and I'm quite puzzled with this format of 5+ hours games. I mean... I played like this like 2 times with my brother when we were young, but this bored us already, and we just forgot the idea of pvp with this game.
@scfan723110 ай бұрын
@@balmipourI have 2 friends who loved it as much or even more as I do. I think we played one multiplayer match that ended after we had opened the "barrier" between the players for the first time. After x hours, that in principle were quite fun, we were having food and drinks together (we played in LAN). They then wanted to play just battles, but I didn't like it because I'm not so good at min-maxing armies. I guess for multi-player "just battles" is a good mode. It's a different game then, though.
@scfan723110 ай бұрын
Thanks for the info about the lost hero. That makes it a tad more interesting, haha. And, life is good when you can watch nostalgia games for 5 hours, no?
@balmipour10 ай бұрын
@@scfan7231 For completeness sake (spoiler, blahblah...), here's the key minute ! Switching from happy "hero-hunting" to a panic search and defeated face. 5:39:47 By the time opponent reconquered half the map by transferring their army and arties through a town/door streak, gg happens (which is... ten minutes later, btw :D) Still love HOMM games, but kinda stopped played them, even vs the CPU, because of those silly movement spells defining everything. Also, heroes have way too much movement in HOMM3. That's one of the reasons why I now prefer HOMM2, which also had a more interesting, real, difference between "rush" and "development" castles. I was too noob to understand the power of a knight castle when I was young, but now see it as one of the easiest way to get a badass combat hero (with leadership & logistics!) to lead my armies.
