The music, the slow motion, the cinematic look of the video, very well done.

This video is amazing, one really gets to see the artistry and technique of the triple jump that couldn't really be seen if watched at normal speed.

All idowu needs is some dang extension on his last phase!! He'd be well over 60' if he had extension!! When he lands in a little plop in the sand and flies forward outta the pit, he has so much more momentum, that if he held some extension, would transfer into his final phase!! But he's so strong and fast, he can get away with doing some things wrong....

Stunning video!!! Thank you for sharing this with us, and I plan on sharing this with my TJ team. May I ask the song? I would love to add it to my warm-up playlist...

@TripleJump95 Tremendous distance through the hop and the step. Unfortunately, he held on to those two phases for too long, which threw him out of balance, and consequently, led him to take off poorly in the jump phase causing the over rotation that saw him lose the precious centimeters that could have won him the competition. That could have been over 18m but could have should have.

It just frustrates me watching Odowu's landing! I feel like if you're a professional triple jumper, than maybe perfecting your landing would be a possibility
@21FREERUNproduction11 жыл бұрын
he used to say that if he landed like every one els the competition would be too easy.. ahah
@AramDovlatyan10 жыл бұрын
Man it is amazing how close he gets to the pit though! I feel as if sometimes he might just land in the pit on his 2nd phase lol. For example look at 1:52 he is so close to the pit, it is unfortunate that he loses momentum by the time he is entering the 3rd phase

Idowu has such a beautiful second phase. And then there's his third...
@lease2coach111 жыл бұрын
Actually much of his problem (over-rotation) with the third phase starts with the landing of the second phase (and segue into the final takeoff).

i do a bit of triple jump, my 1st phase is okay my 2nd phase is weak but my 3rd phase is strong, i can built up a decent amount of momentum and speed but also have to take-off early to prevent myself from getting a foul - any suggestions???
@NG3Music11 жыл бұрын
each phase is roughly the same length- so if it's a 17.5m (57'4" ft.) jump the first phase (or jump) would be 5.83 meters (19'3")

17.96 m in ft = 58.9238845 feet (58 feet 11 3/32 inches) Thanks google toolbar! For some reason I have no problem with 400m on a track but ~18m just did not compute.
