Stoichkov crytisized some of his teammates and the journalits, who crytisized him over the years. He said he missed Penev, (Athletico Madrid, Spain Top scorer La Liga) who was injured and out of the competition. He was unfortunate that he missed 2-3 chances to be the lone top scorer of the World cup (he was tied with a Russian at that time). He said he played injured a lot of the games. Trifon Ivanov mentioned that he is against too many teams in the world cup (next world cup was going to be 32 teams). Stoichkov said that yes, the teams are a lot (24 at the time, 32 now), but it is fair to others to have more teams than 24 so other countires can experience the world cup too.

We have also ending on "ski" but it is a national tradition. Bulgaria is the only existing European state never changing its name for more than 14 centuries. Any further curiosity?

we have some other endings but -ov an -ev are the most common and the female names end with -ova and -eva for example

it's just the way scandinavian names end on "son", which means "son of", our "ov" is something similar.
