Rtwc 98 was more legit to me because of the Road to world cup mode.

@@deaundrebondscheeks2 but this represents the World Cup with much more accuracy. The stadiums, environment, kits, players, plus in RTWC the simulation was awful, it was very common to see teams like Fiji or Anguila qualified to the tournament and beat England or Germany

What a nostalgia for me! I got this game as a xmas present in '98 for my PS1 and boy did i play it a LOT :P This and NHL 97 were THE sports games of my PS1 era :)

Got my very first PS1 in 1998 and this was the first game I bought for it. Played it at the Uni residence halls all night until sunrise next day , loved it !!

DesertFox I've had an N64 since May 97, ISS 64 and 98 were the best footie games on the Console but I enjoyed the FIFA games as well.

I remember playing against Austria one time and their goalkeeper was saving everything. The announcer proceeded to say "Great save by Wolf fart! He's having an incredible game, stopping everything in his path!" or something similar. As an 11 year old hearing the name "Wolf fart" was the funniest thing ever.

Might've played once or twice back in the day at a friend's house.. reminds me a lot of Fifa in its gameplay, graphics, and commentary. Nicely done, especially for the time period

Great, easily playable football game but for me ISS Pro 98 edges it as the best of the PS1 generation. This and FIFA 98 come very close though. Then Pro Evo came along for the PS2 and changed everything.

As gameplay, ISS kicked so much ass comparing to Fifa. As a whole, Fifa had better package easily. I did train my visions with ISS and it actually helped our team to win promotion 99-00. :D
