Presented on March 21st, the Canadian Committee for the UN International Year of Glaciers' Preservation introduced the UN Glacier Year and its significance in Canada. This event featured three presentations:
John Pomeroy: Observations and predictions of changing mountain snow, ice and water.
Alison Criscitiello: Contaminant transfer in the Canadian Arctic.
Bob Sandford: The importance of snow and ice to the economy, culture, and sustainability.
