Great report. Happy to see 30k content. As a Custodes player, I think the most playable units are Guards, Heateron, Pallas, Caladius Annihilator, Achillus Dread and Bikes as role player as transport/heavy tanks destroyers. The rest as you say, is probably garbage.

Great content, guys! Honest question (srsly, I've only played two games until now): why the dreadnoughts exploded when they lost their last Wound? The only situation I found in the book to explode something was when rolling a 7+ on Vehicle penetration :(

42:29 - *EDIT* - I'm blind and the fourth dice rolls just onto the bottom of the camera's view so I didn't see it. *Original comment* - you roll for 3+ to wound on 3 dice, say 3s to wound and pick up a 2 and call it a wound. It would have ended being shot by that target with three wounds lost, not four and may have survived the shooting from the following Raider, giving it an extra turn to do something. Not saying that to sound like a snarky clown, just pointing it out. 👍

@@SNBattleReports It was 3s to wound, but it's my mistake from not seeing the dice at the bottom that rolled just slightly out of full shot. I thought it was just the 3 dice but he hit with 4 and when wounding it was just the 3 properly on screen, so it's my bad for not seeing that.

Oooph, rough game for the custodes but good on Stevie for going with the units he likes! From my experience the custodes terminators are brilliant for zone mortalis, especially if you go with fist and claw, but are too vulnerable in bigger games.

Bring Red Butchers in a berserker list to be durable objective bullies to push enemy line out. And by durable I mean even if they have to foot it a bit, their great saves and multiple wounds will let them live to get here. I like Red Butchers in Berserker lists and Cataphractii termies in a Crimson path list. Its just fluffy, and fluffy is great!

What you need to do is ally Sisters of Silence, and add those dirt cheap medics to Custodes. Not to mention some very cheap scoring units + access to also very good HQ options and busted Krole...

Yeah... Red Butchers are quite sad. In fact, I'd say their only real competition for worst elite terminators in 30k are the Atramentar. The Raving Madmen rule was a fun, fluffy idea but it was written badly.

What they did with custodes is so odd. No biker captain. No 5++. Not much ap2 shooting, 3+ save on bikers,limited good options which forces cookie cutter lists. But then severely undercosted meridian swords/haetaron. They just look confused. I don't play them so I could be very wrong?. As long as they get costed fairly I dont think many would complain about 2+/5++ and a +1 for shield.

Telemon range is ridiculous (as is the lack of Brutal of course). Custodes rules don't reflect a their lore very well. Edit: You guys HAVE to put a lot more terrain on the board with Custdoes. Otherwise it's just a shooting gallery when your opponent brings AP2 shooting.
