when i went to Batad for the 1st time in the year 2000, you had to hike for 3 hours. 1 1/2 hours up and 1 1/2:hours down, and there wasn't any electricity too. now its only a few hike going there...its my top list to go to. every 3 yesrs 😊

Yeah, I have been there in 2001 and hiked 3+ hours to reach Batad. 😅When I returned in 2017, it was only a 10-minute walk down to reach there. Tourists are more lucky this time.

@melody7809 @tbestevecbr I kinda would have loved that haha! Hiking hours just to get to the village would have been extra fun 🤗 it's better this way for the tourism of the area tho. Luckily there are still longer hikes up to the mountains to more secluded villages, next time when we visit we will do those for sure!

That waterfalls is the source of life of the mountain rice terraces. It irrigates water all thje way down to all rice paddies. Have you tried their brown rice? Maybe you can buy and take it down home. Nice one Susie and Jonathan!

Who ever thought of planting rice in the mountains as we know now as the "Rice Terraces" some 2000 years ago is a very highly ingenuitive thinker. Originally in the Philippines. It's Amazing !

Sussie and Jonathan if want to see the most biggest waterfalls in the Philippines you were come to Iligan city in Maria Christina falls 3 times bigger than that waterfall in bananue area..come and visit to Iligan city Mindanao..here you is more beautiful scenery that you don't had see in the other part of the Philippines.

Oh nooo! Be very careful not to slip from the stone steps. Hope one day you can visit the 7 Falls in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. It’s Bigger and stronger I think the 2nd waterfalls is 2x wider and longer than this one.

Hello Jonathan and Susie, roadtrip up north is stunning. I noticed that ur phone has umbrella to protect from rain. A simple tip to give ur phone a total protection, why not put ur phone inside a condom. Be sure it's unused.😊👍

We eat a lot of protein 😊 Many vegetables has high amount of protein such as beans or peas even broccoli and some greens! Plus we occasionally eat eggs and fish. It can be difficult sometimes when we travel to remote areas and can't make our own food, just picking whatever is available on the limited menu. But we make up for it later on 🤗

@@oxoelfoxo The best one is spinach or kale but some other greens too like mustard greens or parsley. Not enough to be the only protein intake of course but good extra besides other protein filled vegetables / seeds, nuts 😊

There's no phone signal and no WiFi but there's some type of credit WiFi that can be used there although the signal was very very weak
