World first 3 man Onyxia! World of Warcraft Classic

After weeks of planing, preparations and test runs the characters Draven, Wuggreed and Starly (Server Gandling, Guild Midnight) was finally able to do the world first 3 man Onyxia. Recreating the 3 man Onyxia kill from Vanilla several months early without the Nax/Aq gear.
Fight lasted 46 Min. (Also world record for slowest Onyxia?!)
Notable consumes used:
(So not including the normal ones like moongose or Spirit of Zanza)

Crystal Spire x 5 (gives a thorns buff from un'goro crater)

Nobody even says that Classic is hard, it's a fake narrative created by angry kids who never got to experience real Vanilla. Classic though is a heavily nerfed version of Vanilla with incorrect patch and itemization=buffed items meaning you can faceroll everything from start i.eg Ragnaros with lvl 55s and green gear. You can't compare Vanilla and Classic. Both are easy, but Classic is way easier than Vanilla was.

You need to be able to bring her down in phase 2. You need ranged and likely physical because a caster dps isn’t going to be able to bring her down, maybe a warlock since life tap. That’s the only other choice really. If phase 2 didn’t exist then they could have 2 manned it.

The end when you had to press Alt + Z to hide your interface was really frustrating. First, you didn't even know what to call it. "How can I toggle my hide my actionbars?" Second, the dude answered you Alt + Zed and you said "yeah but I keybound mine to something else." Back during WotLK, we would 2 man Ony for a gold farm (Orc warrior/UD priest). This went on for a few weeks, and to our surprise, Blizz then went and turned her into a lvl 80 raid. Idk if that was always planned, but it was a good couple months and I still tell people that we may have forced Blizz to make that happen. I wouldn't be surprised if they buff her again.

No it isn't Because of one reason: We don't have Paladins yet on Horde. And the whole reason this is possible is due to a talent that refunds the Mana if a certain heal spell I think Flash of Light gets a critical heal/strike if you have 5 points into it. I don't think Shamans have anything like that plus they would have to stack so much MP5 and + healing to make everything stronger. But it's not that possible sadly :( so the answer is no you can't do it on Horde until BC. But by then who would be doing Onyxia except from 60 twinks

Gamers are just better in 2020 compared to 2004-2005. The information is also out there to get perfectly ready for everything. Internet connection is better, pcs are better.. people can actually do the boss without lags or dcs. People actually know consumables and world buffs and best in slots. People are running warrior dps from day 1 cus now they KNOW that it's good, back then it was " warrior, where's u shield, what do u mean u dps?" , not just using warrior dps , but actually stacking warriors cus its so good. Proffesions, aka everyone using sappers for hard aoe situations. U think it's the patch but there's so many reasons why ppl stomped through every content....Some of them are listed above.. don't get me wrong, the patch is also ONE of the reasons, just one though.. and not even a big one. The BIGGEST reason is that the content is just EASY mechanically speaking. People played games like Retail and FFXIV... FFXIV, in which mechanics like the ones in classic raiding are in lvl 40 dungeons.

Back then, u need full consumes and the actual required minimum gears to be able to stand a chance. Due to the patch, you can now play the game and blaze thru without even needing the so called required gears (like minimum +- 250 FR/NR). *nobody couldve survive being a bomb from Baron Gedon/ taking 1 blow from garrs minions means death for anyone that is not a tank. And so on. Back in the days, 1 tail swipe or 1 fire breath from onyxia alone will instant kill anyone that is not a tank. Now everyone can just tank it and eat fire breath by wearng blue gears for example. Black rock spire with a 15 man with unskippable route and harder hitting bosses instead of this shitty one. Even scholomance was 10 man. Not even going to start talking about bwl. Everything was tuned to one shot anyone who makes mistakes back then. This Patch is childs play. People are not better, they had the same information we did back then. We had websites n guides that provides guides backthen too. Things are just super easy.

the pally has to use the wall perch to prevent being feared more than a few steps the warrior is angling onyxia away from the wall to maximise range between himself and the healer in case he gets feared towards the healer. He's making sure that fear expires before onyxia is facing the healer and potentially one shotting them with breath. Everyones's a fucking expert when you've only ever 40-manned this and have no idea how much planning goes in to something like this.

That's also because in vanilla not much thought was put into stacking so many different world buffs. T2 geared players with all the buffs they have on is even stronger than someone in T3 without them. Definitely a lot of prep was put into this. Looks like they even have one of the Un'goro buffs and even the UBRS fire resist buff.

Less people, means less get hit with each fireball and you only have to heal 1 person per fireball rather than 5. I prefer to 10-15 man Ony for a consistent run, any more people and the chance of someone fucking up or healers going oom increases.
