I was diagnosed with this in 2020 but it was always classed as panic disorder which I've had for nearly 15 years, the most furious thing about is not just the disabling symptoms but the way you are not treated as there is help in your area with the NHS, and also the way DWP treat people with this is outrages. I had all medical evidence to prove how i suffer and cannot do normal things in day to day life and my mobility was terrible, yet the DWP and the fist appeal said there was no medical evidence, my GP, Neurologist, Psychologist, normal Physio, Support are stunned at these decisions and why people out there cannot do things are ignored and not given a voice, just shows you how corrupt the system is

My name is John McBride, and I got discharged from hospital yesterday after 4 months in rehabilitation unit, at Broadgreen hospital, Liverpool, with fnd. With physiotherapy and psychological therapy, i have come a long way with my recovery from fnd. I felt so isolated and frustrated trying to understand why I couldn't speak or move my limbs anymore. After all the years of having Menieres diseases and constant ear ringing , it is nice to sit in a quiet restaurant without anything bothering me. Even the fullness in the bad ear is hardly noticeable. And the constant ear ringing is gone.Took 4weeks ?thanks Dr Liam Ogbebor centre on KZbin for the tinnitus program and herbal ear drop treatment and I hope it stops for everyone else sooner. ❤

The symptoms are real and horrible for people but I dont think the concept of the disease "FND" is right. It might also be caused by a chronic infection of the CNS that we cant identify yet for instance. I think there should be a diagnoses that basically says "you have symptoms and they are horrible but we dont know yet the cause". Everything else is just theory.

The main problem I have is as seen as the neuro put FND on my notes then started to see at all. I am OK that I may have FND, I do have other problems as that do fit FND but the neuros will not check them out now. I have had problems from birth, there was a small group of us, all given the same tag in the early 70s, and some of us have start about in around the year 2000, got retag with CP, they were started to check this with me, but a new over worked neuro, to note test showed possible FND which he put on my note then refuse to see me again, (From want I understand they change how test for CP as MRI scanner got better)
