Man, just wow. I used to walk through 2 feet of snow to play this game for hours at the local convenience store. I remember how hard it was to pull off that dragon uppercut! Watching this play through brought back so many memories. I was yelling at the screen, rooting for you and remembering all those “cheap” throws and bouncing back those “fireballs”. This was fun to watch. Thank you!!

Bouncing back the fireballs was quite difficult as I think back, you had to block at the absolute last moment to deflect it (as I remember) 🤔🤔🤔

This game was very playable, unlike Fatal Fury and Art Of Fighting which I found impossibly hard and unenjoyable actually if I'm honest.

Man, samurai showdown was so unique. I think that’s why it hooked me at the time. It wasn’t just another street fighter or mortal kombat clone… remember Time Killers?

As far as Fighting games go, this game is nothing like Street Fighter, SF clones do exist but this is not one of them, despite what western videogame magazines used to say back then.

@@bossjorge86 Yeah. I consider that their King of Fighters style, since it re-used sprites for other fighters, including Mars People from SvC: Chaos. We got Hanzou, Fuuma, Mudman and Neo Dio. Kinda with we got someone other than essentially 'Ken/Ryu', would like them to have not gone so goofy with Mudman (here, you can clearly see his real face behind the mask when he blocks, and the spirits are there, but not the main focus. The mask also only changes in a believable manner), and kinda not that fond of Neo Dio's redesign.
