I agree. Besides, World Heroes' obscurity only makes it more special to me. And I still have fond memories of it to this day.

Compared to all the other fighting games in the neo geo, this is kinda shit. Characters very moderate, very generic and combat is too simplistic

I use to play this game on arcade in a 7-11 convient store when I was a kid...oh and use to ask my mom for 50 cents and I would always beat the game lol

Very fun game, Used to love playing this when I was a kid. The team that put it together did a great job even if the creative side was influence by SF2 and T2. I mean Hanzo and Fuuma are basicly Ken and Ryu , Brocken is their version of dahlsim the list goes on. Final boss is torn direct from the T1000 which came out in T2 the year previous. But none of that ever mattered because the game was executed so well.

Death match was so cool as well. I wished world heroes perfect had death matches.

I maybe wrong, but I think Dragon was the first Bruce Lee type character in a fighting game predating Mortal Kombat's Liu Kang by a few months.

Fuuma's "Enryuuha" voice was recorded,but it was not used in the game. Because of actor's poor performance.

I believe he also had a unique KO cry, but that went unused too, and reuses Hanzo's KO cry.

I remember this game at the Round Table. Great SF clone. I do recall being able to use the combos more frequently though.

Yea Each character was a rip off of the characters from street fighter except maybe dragon. Fei long came later in SSF2...but yea man this was kinda hilarious!

Hanzo is basically the Ryu of World Heroes. And Fuuma is the Ken.

Man I remember playing this game. I’d always play Brocken because of his crouching light kick mechanic. Just rapid fire that out and you’ll always win lol

In the arcades this was much more enjoyable and playable than the ridiculously hard Fatal Fury and Art Of Fighting games.

The boss reminds me of a mix of Seth and Shang Tsung. Very interesting obscure game. I kinda like these ADK and Data East games (Fighters History) although I never played them. Anyone ever played Martial Champion? Street Fighter 2 clone made by Konami and the only non popular one I actually got to play.

I remember playing this game in the final stage where I fought against Geeguss by choosing Dragon It took me a hard time to defeat him. But I found something really interesting about Geegus, according to fandom, Geegus is short for "Gelantinous Execute and Exterminate Gynotype Ultimate Soldier" he is created by the mad scientist Damned, his lab is called: "Laboratory of Damned" and I just realised that Geegus remained me of T-1000 from the movie The Terminator 2

Hanzo and Fuuma are basically the Ryu and Ken of this series. That's an understatement. And actually, Seth didn't debut until MANY YEARS later. So Neo Geo beat them to the punch in that regard.

World heroes should be compete with another fightin games sch as street fighter, MK, DOA, Tekken, Samurai Showdown, WH character has unique ability

A shameless and inferior ripoff of Street Fighter 2, but it was the game I had on SNES growing up so I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for it. Plus SF2 never thought to have a cyborg or Rasputin so they really dropped the ball there.

Man did you see Rasputins super on the later games not think street fighter would dare put that in there games.
