@IceeLSN Жыл бұрын
@Carlos-of5cv no one said they're not. But he comes out at any track that isn't about power from the engine, and he runs top 5 to top 10 on a nightly basis. He would be top 5 in points if he did and had more help on the car.
@midnight-2021 Жыл бұрын
The young guys from California are great but the young talent elsewhere has fallen IMO, especially in PA with the PA Posse. Great talent with Outlaw Logan Schuchart, Brent Marks and Anthony Macri but other than that the rest of the PA Posse get their asses kicked when the California invaders, WOO and the ASCOC come to Central PA. Hell old man Lance Dewease kicked the young PA Posse's asses 2 years ago in points at Williams Grove Speedway when Don Kreitz Jr decided to run a full race schedule instead of their part time schedule. If Macri Motorsports decides to run Lance Dewease on a full time PA Posse schedule next year I would put money on him winning the Williams Grove Speedway points championship in ease.

Learned something about the former rookie of the year in 1993 in the WOO series, Greg Hodnett who also raced for 2 decades in PA Posse land that he is responsible for the Macri family getting involved in racing. Nick Macri, a wealthy concrete business owner was just a big time race fan that Greg Hodnett learned about and became friends and eventually got Nick Macri to sponsor Greg Hodnett's team. Nick Macri got more into racing with more and more sponsorship and Greg also saw that his Nick's son Anthony Macri was very interested in racing himself and tutored Anthony Macri in Anthony Macri's early career. But today Anthony Macri and Nick Macri are on their own but both might or probably will be involved in the WOO series but on their separate ways in the future. So if and when Anthony Macri becomes a WOO driver with whomever team and if and when Macri Motorsports decides to run in the WOO series full time it is because of Greg Hodnett's influence on the Macri family to get involved in 410 sprint car racing.

I have watched these land bound missiles since 1980. Best race I ever watched first hand was at Manzanita in ‘84 or ‘85 (Gambler Chassis Sponsored the 35 lap race). Leland McSpadden (“The Tempe Tornado-who was no slouch and was at his home track) started pole and Dave Blaney started 8th. Four laps in Dave Blaney was running second. They swapped leads about twice every lap for 30 laps. Leland did win but it was very close. I think Dave Blaney was only 20 years old or so. He never crashed the other drivers-just let his right foot do the talking. What a shoe!

Great run David. The WOO points system needs changing. There should be bonus points for winning. There's something wrong when a driver can just be in the top five each race,without a win,and still win the championship! NASCAR has the same problem. You could be out of the Chase,and win all of the last races,but not win the championship.

I don't get it. Gravel was 4 points ahead, and now is only 8 points ahead. How the f**k are these points calculated? 10 wins versus 6 wins, 33 top 5's versus 25, 39 top ten's versus 38. How does that compute to an mere 8 point lead. Passing points should not have that much weight.
