My Daughter and I went to a sprint car race at Petaluma back when she was a little girl. They were running winged 360's that night. We watched this guy come from the back of the pack to win the race. He was very smooth and he didn't touch anybody. We went over to the car and saw this 14 year old kid climb out of it. I told my daughter that this guy is going to go places. I'd never heard of Kyle Larson at that time, even though I'd run against him a couple of times in midgets. I've driven enough to know that what he does with a race car is incredible. I'm old enough to have seen AJ Foyt and Parnelli Jones on dirt at Ascot Park. I've seen Jeff Gordon, Tony Stewart, Jan Opperman and just about every other great driver since the early 60's race on dirt. In my opinion Kyle is the best!

Goat 🐐 you just can't get a better, well-rounded driver.
@industrialpalletworx35484 ай бұрын
Wait for his career to be done before anointing him the GOAT. No doubt he can drive, but he hasn't done half of what some amazing drivers did long before him. Like AJ Foyt. Won in everything on wheels, Mario Andretti is another. They did it without the big corporate backing.

21 to number 1 and by a half a nose, thats why larson is one of the greats of this day and age drive about any and everything and do it well, a real legend already, and this is why we love sprint car racing, the high speeds on the short track and lots of moving position sometimes up to three times a lead will change on a smaller track per lap, but dang thats a hard charger of the night move that far back to win.

at like 15 laps to go, they show lap times all around 15 secs. Kyles at 14.4. Just a couple guys were under 15

6 tenths is alot, he had to work lappers and passing 20+ cars
@manga124 ай бұрын
@@thartley16 hmm I am not doubting the acomplishment, and hes good always a threat in openwheel, but it was still very close if you are talking to me about 6 tenths, and to come from that far behind, or went in and put on a new right rear in 2020 and went all the way from last place to win the hoosier hundred in silver crown, the last true hoosier that was at the state fair before it was limestoned and made a harness horse trainning track in 2021, there are not many that can come from that far behind and win a silver crown race either like he did, hes that good, but he has good equiptment so it helps but yea hes that good, and had that good of a night, like the time we saw steve kinser at eldora got dqed for having an illigal titanium bar in his car and had to come all the way through the c main to b main and then win the a main in 1995 or 1996 was that good on that night just like kyle was tonight
