In reality in Horizon Blue the timeline went as normal until after WW1, where the drafting of the Treaty of Versailles triggers public outrage in Germany, leading to the Kaiser re-assuming control and mobilising the remnants of the Reichswehr and Freikorps into a new imperial Army and invading Belgium and France. (Britain abstains from participation after Germany signs a quick armistice with Belgium in order to deal with France)

Well, the maps start to get destroyed after tunnel warfare and artillery begins, showing basically what would happen in WW1 as cities got devasted) Dead Ahead (Centaura's naval combat sister-game, same universe and all) Frontline: Karelia 40 - 44 (Finnish/Soviet Winter War, you're walking and suddenly you've been mowed by a MG... It can get brutal in the demolition modes, too) Horizon Blue: 1919 (It may not be so close to Karelia due to new features such as the new aim system, but the devs made it retain the brutality especially with the artillery and sapper's TNT) Grave/Digger (Surprisinly for a "arcade game", just like Entrenched, a lot of stuff like being able to mix boosts as a medic doesn't means that tunnel warfare can't be brutal) Battle for Honor (Again, very arcade with all the buyable classes like Paratrooper but it can be brutal when you barely land as one and suddenly have to face a Tanker, and the fact that people actually Roleplay war crimes like killing medics is insane) Scorched Earth (It looks a bit cartoonish but that game is brutal in many ways, and you're not safe from getting exploded by a bazooka) Multicrew Tank Combat 4 (It is brutal how you can gather 5 guys to crew a tank and in a second all of you are burning in a steel coffin) Unit 1968 Vietnam /and/ Unit: Classified (They're also arcade/cartoonnish yet brutal, specially how squad leader can call for a poison gas attack on you in Classified)

@@TheMisterCrow I also like how devs can make brutal games that are similar yet different - They made Centaura fully infantry experience then made Dead Ahead a naval combat game and both are brutal on their own - Tanks, flamethrower mowing you down in Centaura the in Dead Ahead you are running to try and put fires out. And in the Artefact's new Blue Horizon 1919 you're charging with 30 people and in Karelia most of the time, be you a Finnish or Soviet, you will eventually get lost from your teammates and be trying to survive dozens of enemies with limited ammo. Edit: Bleeding Blades also has it's own brutality, from a archer trying to survive a rushing cavalryman to a Greek hoplite facing 5 Persians alone, you know it's unlikely you will survive the round.

94' remastered is a very unknown game, it only has around 200 concurrent players usually but it is still great. It's about the first chechen war and is insanely realistic and sometime just plain terrifying, i recommend you cover it in a future video

You might have to try cold war. Although cold war never really tried the settings of the horrors of war, it does show how lethal modern weaponry can be and even just 1-3 shots can just end your life in an instant. Really recommend it. It has some voice acting too (taken from world in conflict though).

A bit of an oddball i'd say would be empire clash. It's not trying to be an anti-war game but it sort of ends up being one in a unique way by simulating all of the stuff outside of combat. Most of the classes are various civilian jobs, which are still essential. Becoming a soldier requires a significant amount of money to buy your class and equipment, if you then march across the large map to die in the first volley you will feel that, unlike the near instant respawns in centaura. Even staying as a civilian you feel the effects of war, as more people go off to fight and die, the streets of the cities get emptier, and occasionally you might get chased away from your job by enemies. As people aren't working, either from being conscripted or blocked by enemies, things start backing up or running out of supply. The war continues, people get poorer and the war goes badly, maybe the monarch raises taxes on the already poor and a revolution begins, with loyalists and rebels fighting in the streets, leaving you no better off either way, and with bodies piled up in the streets slowly spreading disease. If you stop to think about it enough, it really does demonstrate how war sucks for EVERYONE, not just the soldiers.

It is a game where warfare is not about just charging and more tactical since you have to conserve money and troops. The game can run into issues where the more powerful team keeps snowballing and becomes almost unbetable. You should check it out though.

@@TheMisterCrow the movie is really historically inaccurate, in the tank battle scene the saint chamond tanks wouldn't randomly stop to fire at troops but would keep moving along with reinforcements, too muddy, the attacking troops don't even take cover but just run openly, after they reach the enemy trenches they just directly jump into the trenches and start fighting hand to hand combat, irl they would be in cover and throw as much grenades as they could then storm the trench by the time they got to the trench many enemy troops would have either been dead, injured or retreated. They don't go in squads but rather just all run through the open field individually, there are no raids or patrols in the movie which were more common than frontal assults, even the rifles they use have very little recoil. I could list alot more inaccuracies but I feel lazy. Movies like wooden crosses 1930, Verdun 1928 and westront 1930 are more realistic even in visuals
