The ensk example is a great explanation and also one of the main problems on the NA server. One side of the map will lose and remainder of the team plays defensive on the other flank and gets crushed quickly. Played 20 games yesterday and 14 of them were over within 2-4 minutes because of it. In my eyes this the most important thing for new players to learn.

Dude. Just, dude. Mind-blowing. I'm a long time player but not generally a heavy player. Biggest game changer for me in this? The concept of being intentional with your downtime. Second is 2-shot vs 1-shot and how an enemy reacts. (And using hardening to speed up a grind is pretty cool too... I've never used it, on any tank)
@diatonicdelirium17433 жыл бұрын
One thing Steve didn't mention: getting the upgraded tracks is often still important as it often influences the terrain resistance and gun handling (and frees up the slot of improved hardening).

I'm so glad that the fact that 1 HP is a trillion times more valuable than 0 is being touched on. Being an absolute potato, there have been many times where I lose half my tank in the first couple minutes of the battle, but manage to go on and clutch a tight end game scenario. Doing nothing is not bad. Doing nothing while there are weaknesses and opportunities in the game is.

aha Very true, it's quite common and I'm not sure why because I've seen it a lot after 8+ years on SEA server. Had a Maus yesterday back of the map hiding in a bush, and a Tortoise climbed a hill to snipe on a timed assault map where we didn't even have a LT/MT alive to spot for him.

Seriously, tip about not dying is so underrated. I remeber one time when I played my IS-3 on Prokhorovka I got feckd for over 1400 on beginning of the battle because I weren't camping hard enough. I did 4,5k dmg being one shot in that battle. Skipping the suspension is nice, but it is not always worth becaue better suspension usually also give you better gun handling. Great use of improved hardening is when you have enough exp to install module of higher importance like turret or gun but stock suspension is unable to carry it. Then unlock suspension at last.

Great video with very apt humour implemented at the right time :) Another one I use a lot of, if I'm playing an autoloader is to make out I've actually got shots left. This works provided they haven't counted how many you've already unloaded! Keep up this style of video please!
@thegiantpotato30683 жыл бұрын
What I sometimes do, is fire all but one shot from my autoloader, and then immediately reload, assuming I'm in a decently strong position. This prevents the enemy from pushing you, as they think you've still got a shot left, but when you start shooting them again you've got a completely full clip again. It might even trick them into a stupid move because they think you'll be empty after the first shot of the second clip, if your full clip reload is short enough. I'm not sure if it'd work in something like a Char Futur 4, but it works great in my Kranvagn with a 19,1 second reload.
@bennyboypolo3 жыл бұрын
@@thegiantpotato3068 Top tip that. Thanks very much. I hadn't played for two weeks, loaded up and of course played my favourite tank, the ARL 44, and proceeded to murder roughly 1/4 of the enemy team over 4 battles. Like riding a bike!

Your genius isn't limited to a pixel tank game. Nearly all the advice you gave could be successfully applied in so many aspects of life in general. Staying in close to your opponent limits their ability to strike full power blows. The art of subterfuge to bait and strike, is also exemplary in physical combat. Or business dealings. Learning and knowing the weaknesses in your opponent. I could continue, but I think I've made my point.

Wallst: Look on tankgg at your tanks weakspots *shows KV-1s Me: well no matter how you put it the whole tank is a weakspot and weakness For any new player, probably the best high tier proper HT you should get is the E75. Incredibly fun, rewarding and very good for learning the basics (tho at t9 learning the basics is a bit questionable lmao). The line is not even that bad after the buffs, the t6 VK is fine, Tiger I has a very good gun with high dpm and alpha(-ish, 280 is still pretty decent tho), Tiger II is massive upgrade in all regards if you exclude the speed, imo the most well balanced and fun tech tree HT, the gun is superb, perfect blend of reload and alpha, handlings are just incredible, armor can work surprisingly well if you know your enemy and speed is on par with other tanks like the shitty IS-3 I dislike and hate with all my soul.
