Well, first they've got a team of composers, which are all very good on theire own, and they use an old chruch for recording, which has a huge influence on the outcome.

here's a little story about this song: I met my girlfriend (ex now) 2 years ago and she introduced me to WOW when we first started going out. She had a lvl 80 gnome at the time and always summoned a winterspring cub when we were playing, which I thought it's cute so she bought another one from the auction house and gave it to me. she created a new character to lvl with me and I first heard this song when we were leveling in ghostlands, and I really liked it.. anyway, we continued playing wow for a while, then we eventually got tired of it so we stopped. now after several fights and 2 years of being together we broke up, and we've been broken up for about one month now. I decided to start playing wow again to take my mind off some things and I've been leveling my night elf. that's a different character than what I was leveling with her but I still summon my winterspring and it's with me all the time and it even has the same name. he is up to lvl 25 now btw! I've completely forgotten about this song by now until it came across me when I was in darnassus. I had the winterspring with me and I stopped there for a while to listen to it. so here I am looking at the winterspring she gave me 2 years ago listening to this song.. needless to say all those nice memories of us playing together came back to me and I started crying. it's amazing how peaceful this song is and makes me forget about all the bad stuff that happened between us and bring back all those nice memories.

I guess this is what I love about this game... It has a sentimental edge. This is something I've had with Ultima Online at a point, but nothing compared to the attachment I feel towards Warcraft. It sounds extremely nerdy, maybe it is, but it is not as nerdy as it sounds to someone who never played WoW. Those places could as well be real. That is how vivid it feels at times.

Güneş Ünüvar Well the characters, despite being powerful warriors or mages or what have you, have very realistic personalities and natures. They have real concerns for their people that we would have in real life, they feel many emotions, and their stories and struggles are deep, whether its the orcs and how they constantly fight to redeem themselves for the First and Second wars, or how certain characters like Grom sacrifices themselves to save others, that's why I love Warcraft :)

This is so melancholic, it evokes for me the Night Elves' loss of immortality, their deep longing for finding peace in nature, and their reverence of the stars and the moon... it is by far my favourite music in WoW.

Most people dont appreciate the beautiful things of the world. They just want to sound and look fierce. Marvelous pieces of music, such as this one, were one of the deciding factors when I became addicted to WoW years ago. I've gotten rid of the addiction since then and no longer play the game, but I still regularily listen to the magnificent soundtrack. Oh, and the temple fits the mood of this song perfectly, for those who have been there. A beautiful place, even if it's only rendered 3D.

You're absolutely right, but you seem to forget that some ppl just don't have enough strenght or simple luck to get their happines. Sometimes you stand up to try but you fail, try again still not to succeed. Fail after fail. How many times can a person try and fall before giving up? In WoW you're always awarded for your effort.

you guys are so right.. after going through it all and experiencing all the 60 and 70 material. the game is a shell.. no one plays anymore to experience the vastness and social aspects anymore. all the focus is on getting that next piece of gear. even after WotLK comes out.. in 3 months it's all gonna be the same again. i miss being a noob :(

This is the song I played when I met my best friend 12 years of age. I'm 27 years old and we're still the best of friends in real life. I sit in one of the spots in westfall tonight by the lighthouse. One of the many spots we hung out in till the wee hours of the morning. A somber yet peaceful night. Good night everyone. I remember staying on that island as a blood elf for many hours on and off just to listen to the music there. I am SO GLAD they repurposed it for the Temple of the Moon. it's such a perfectly melancholic but beautiful and hopeful track.

I think this world can be much more beautiful, but much people don't understand, that this doesn't give you anything for nothing, except bringing you to life. Only hard work can turn this world into a beautiful place. By the way: In the real world ypu too can protect the nature, you are just no night elf with magic. But, in my opinion, magic is just a tool. Your will is much more important. And believe me: You rarely can find true friends, but if you do, you are gifted.

Such a great sound. I was never a Night Elf, and I dont go very often to Darnassus. Recently I had to go there to deliver Elune a Quest, and I listened this tune for the first time. I just walked around the temple doing nothing just so I could listen to it a bit longer. Its that epic.

this is...hypnotic to say the least...it plays on a small island near ghostlands, you are sent there with a quest,at 76 and sometimes i break the leveling just to go there for another 5 minutes :P

This music was earlier heard in the northwest of Ghostlands (since TBC). Lateron the music replaced the earler Moonglade music in the Temple of the Moon (i believe patch 2.3 or 2.4).

@MJfamous94 it depends which race youre comfortable with (like my is Blood Elf) other then the scenery, it doesnt really make a difference. if you lvl high enough, you might be able to sneak into other places. or just make 2 characters on both sides

absolutely beautiful. This is also on that island out in the ghostlands...can't remember the name of the isle, but i go there on my blood elf all the time to look out to the waters and sit at peace. Then some low level player has to come ruin it with the harsh violence behind me =/ Maybe sometime I'll visit the temple of the moon, but on my rogue instead so i don't get ganked haha ; ) My favorite music in game, that, and most of the night elf noob zone music up to level 20, it's all simply great

The Temple of the Moon goes back to an older RPG called Might and Magic. It was the home of the dark sorcerers, casters not to mess with. I loved playing as one in Might and Magic 7 and 8, unstoppable at endgame. Music is very relaxing and good. by the way if Kastore had joined the Blood Elves, nothing would stop them!

I go to the temple of elune to relive my priest days..(When i had a priest that is)I usaully look around the temple and smile at all the stuff I did back when I was lvl 1-80(I hadjoined 4months before BC came out and never got to enjoy the lvl 60raids due to my slow lvling :P)but that place is beautiful!

@NoogahOogah This is classical music. There's an orchestra playing it. David Arkenstone composed it. Russell Brower conducted it and said that he was honored to conduct it and the piece was one of his favorites. So if WoW uses classical music and classical music is better than WoW music then..?
