World of Warcraft Warchief Thrall Premium Statue Review

Nice to see you also got this piece. It's, in my opinion, the best one Blizzard has released yet. It was extremely difficult to remove the hand too, and I even hurt myself by doing it. In the end, I also decided not to test my luck a second time. This piece is full of lore details. Thrall is a character that has evolved lots since he was first introduced in Warcraft III. They put as much lore details as they could in one statue. - The base is probably from Ogrimmar, the main city hub of the Horde. He was its founder and Warchief for a while. - The armour and hammer are from his friend and mentor Ogrim Doomhammer. He inherited them when he died. - The axe is from his father, Durotan. The former leader of the Frostwolf clan. The wolf fur from the bottom of his armour is also from them probably. This is his main weapon in the latest expansion. - The scars in his back are from his time being a slave by the humans. He was a slave most of his early life. Nice touch to remove his chest armour piece, so we could see them. - The necklace is a gift from the female human that released him from slavery. - The face reminds me of the cinematic from Warcraft III. His face design has changed since then. - I'm sure there are more details, but those are the ones I can think of now. I'm not sure about the fang in his belt, for example.

WOW thank you so much for sharing that. I figure there had to be a ton of meaning in this piece. I want to play but it seems like there is so much to the game you would have to have been a fan from the beginning. if I were to play this game are there jumping-on points for people who may not know much? it sounds like a lot fun to play. but I have no idea where to start. But just the beauty of the world and the characters blizzard has created has me captivated. 👊🏾

​@@STATUEFANATIC I'd recommend you to play Warcraft III and watch the movie (an adaptation of Warcraft I). That's the fastest gateway to the lore for a newcomer, I'd think. All the lore is condensed in the Chronicle books (3 at the moment). That's what I'd recommend reading to someone who wants to dig deeper into it. Cheers!

Grats. Thrall and Anduin are my favorite Warcraft Characters. Other than wishing for a different portrait look, I think Thrall is easily the best of the Warcraft Statues so far. I own Illidan and had the same experience putting the body into the base. It was stuck on so bad it was literally stressful to remove.

I love this thrall statue, the bulky ass armor, the weight to it, I really think this is the best statue from Blizzards line. Before this, for sure Grom had the best details imo (I dont have Lilith yet), but the details with this beats it.

Love your Blizzard statues. I don't pIay Warcraft either haha.. but I've seen lots of their amazing cinematic trailers and I love them. Very good trailers for their games. I know some lore about Warcraft but playing wise.. only playing Heroes of the Storm (multiplayer game with characters from the Blizzard Universe) and Hearthstone that is a cards game (where you have some of their portraits + voice lines. Thrall is also included in both HOTS and HS).

I did have the Gentle Giant Gul'dan from the Warcraft movie but recently boxed him up. Want to go more for the actual Blizzard art style since I have Sylvanas Windrunner. Great video convinced me to get this piece! This may be a stupid question but I'm very new to statues (awaiting my first infact) - once you've built it up on that spinning disc...how do you get it onto your display? Do you have to take it all apart again and rebuild on your shelf, or just hope you're strong enough and won't drop it and carry it from there whole?

Wow thanks for watching, really good question. I tell you it’s nerve racking every time I finished a video and have to move the statue. But I don’t take it all a part , I do take some of it a part just to make sure I don’t break anything, anything that can fall of when I pick it up I take off, be especially careful with this one become it is extremely heavy. Try to assemble as close to where you will display as possible so you don’t have to move it to far.
