Most of the time it's basically impossible to hit with torps unless you remain completely unseen and the bb player is out of it. I know I piss them off because eventually dd rush for a point blank suicide run haha. Then if they are good a BB will finish me kill denied DD. Oh but knowing the dodge makes your cruiser torps devastating right?!!

I used to simply align myself to the torps and never really thought of turning right or left so this video helped a lot so thanks. Oh and a friendly tips just in case: Destroyers aren't only ones with torps. So try to remember which ships other than destroyer that comes with torps so that you won't get any surprise torps from a cruisers or other ships. Source, experiences and the fact i always use a cruiser with torps so most noobies tends to get torps easily.

This we’ll be quite useful for whenever I’m being targeted by destroyers. I able to most of the time avoid most of the torpedos but getting hit by none is better than getting hit by 1-3

I get part of the concept. If there’s no time to evade the torpedoes, then the best thing to do is move the exact opposite direction that is ‘parallel’ to reduce damage inflicted. The thinner the boats are the more the chances of getting hit by a torpedo there will not be if the strategy is used properly, otherwise the damage will be catastrophic. I haven’t seen the rest of the video to talk more about this video. I just spoke based upon my experience and what is being shown.

In a Shima I do the opposite and anticipate you reversing and turning. Usually wait for another dd to fail and flank and anticipate turn. Either that, the occasional YOLO on problematic or high profile bbs.

Bruh switch to HE. It works incredibly well. Switcing to HE is easier in British, French, and American BBs since they have the rapid reload skill.

I always thought of torpedoes as slow moving ghosts. Keep calm and try your best to dodge. If not, best to minimise the damage and run away while you use the repair consumable to bring up your HP.

Thank you! Yes, most of my battleships have double steering except for a few. My Yamato has steering as the second equipment option and torpedo damage reduction for the third.
