didn't know american dive bombers could deal citidel damage. I thought it was exclusive to german planes

Everything in the game except torpedoes can citadel. I've citadeled other cruisers with my secondary battery in the bismarck. Well obviously, with secondaries you can't really citadel a well armoured target like bismarck or atlantico. However HE bombs are perfectly capable of causing citadels.
