What started as a "hmm, okay"- game, ended with 2 Destroyers, 1 Cruiser, 3 Battleships and 2 Carriers less on the enemy side

I think if you can play destroyer properly, the destroyer is better than any warship.

Nice game, I just do mostly Cruisers since they can do some damage with the main guns. Although occasionally I do use my torpedoes usually if I'm trying to run away. Pretty cool how fast you turned the tables at the end.

Pretty decent. Those torp hits are really done well. One suggestion in the future: when hunting down CVs, keep blasting them with HE rounds. 5" rounds from a DD will probably only scratch their paint, but if a stray HE round could ignite said paint and prevent aircraft takeoffs, it is worth trying.

Trades46 i normally shoot HE mostly on Destroyers, but this was an occasion were i wanted to stay hidden, so i didnt shoot at all (if i remember it correct)

Avg Ascardon Is that official navy classifications, as they make no sense, destroyer only has 1 D, cruiser has no A and battleship has only 1 B.

and 1 quick tip is try to predict where the ships are heading, for eg when they r turning fire torps either the left or right of the grey area. :) hopefully that helps to improve ur accuracy

Without doubt a great game and I do compliment you for it. Still I think you could have saved the other carrier if you had finished off the enemy DD with your guns after it had taken a hard blow at 4.10. I completely understand the temptation to torp a DD but one good gun salvo from that close would surely have been enough for him. When firing torps I personally tend to spread them more so it's not that much of an "all or nothing" game, especially if the target only needs one or two hits to be sunk. All in all a very good game, Lots of luck with not getting hit or being set ablaze by secondarys and of course that the CVs obviously had a death whish. And yes, of course I know everything is obvious and easy in hindsight. Keep playing folks!

beatus72 the main deck guns on that are weak & turn slow, US dd's have very fast turning guns & would be better suited in that situation

No, and that is for two reasons. One is that historically this time period had no defense against subs except for torpedo fire, which only a few ships in this game have. Two is that the team that made this would have to make undersea terrain, which would be severely laggy for a lot of players.

+Werox Minecraft PvP I sounds cool, till you take a look at the operational tactics for submarines in ww2. They had an ok speed above water, but below it was bad (there are some exceptions). Also Submarines were mostly used against tradeships, not warships, so the most kills they did was with the small gun, not torpedoes

the black strider Hi, that game was definetly not vs. NPC/bots in coop. First, the shiplist is completly different and in coop you have the same ships on both sides. Second, the Botteam has names starting and ending with . i think (and who would name his bots like this) :) Third, Bots dont form divisions

Also, this was in Closed Beta, were most people just learned the basics. And for really good results you always need the right matchup and luck

This game just make me think that Destroyers in good hands are Totally OP!!! Battleships manage to miss you, or do marginal damage, and you just obliterate them with torpedo's... this looks way to unbalanced...

+veny Sorry, but i do see a lot of differences between the two gamemechanics, so for me its a different type of game. Else i could compare it with any fps/3rdps too, because i can find enough similarities to justify that. Lets agree to disagree on this one :)
