Murmansk on New Dawn moves to the eastern flank only to run into the majority of the enemy team. Quick thinking and waterline shots are the only thing that gets me out of this situation. Yes, as one of your earliest subscribers (I think I subscribed when you had about 4 others at most), I remember you running into every island that was in your general vicinity - LOL!! LOL I am just like you! I run aground almost once every game in Cruisers and destroyers! But luckily, the ONLY times I run aground in BBs, is either when I am getting shot from so many directions that I simply do not notice it, OR I DO notice it, and know that if I do run myself aground in certain situations, it can and WILL save my ass!

Awww at about 12:00 in, you COULD have sent torps at that New Mexico! As long as you didn't take long between shots, I DOUBT he would have noticed! And he was sailing straight enough, you probably could have nailed him with a narrow spread, but even a wide spread would either have taken a BIG chunk of HP from him and likely caused flooding, OR he IF he saw them, he would have had to maneuver and turn his guns away from you! Apart from that A+ gun performance, A grade total match! But your lack of tactical torpedo use dropped it from A+ to just A, as your torpedo grade was a D-! Lol, great game buddy, keep em coming! And ALWAYS remember; USE DEM TORPEDUSES HARD!

I would say this is a pretty typical match in the Murmansk. Although the pretty big mistake in the beginning he still able to kill hald enemy team. Im a big Murmansk fan, its my go-to ship when i want good score and a fun match. Play 40% off my games in the Murmansk. Nice tip! If you really want to unleash the Russian Beast choose Pyromania as youre Captain 4 skill, with the firerate off this ship u gonne be the most feared ship off all the Battleships, you just start new fires and they cant run away from you. And with the front guns you can shoot a full "Broadside at the BBs from far away just showing youre front and if you wiggle and change youre speed they are never gonna hit you.

Yeah, the only ships where Sequential fire is VERY useful, are the Atlanta, and USN destroyers of tier 6 or higher. When I get my Gearing, I will most likely be using sequential against EVERY target farther away than about 9.5km! As I am going to kit my Gearing get out as a Gunboat with REAL, actually GREAT TORPEDOES! And while the Khabarovsk may do more damage per shell, despite the fact that it has 2 more total guns, it has 104 total shells per minute stock, the Gearing gets 120 stock! And between JUST the Basic firing training skill and the reload module, the Gearing goes above 24 rounds per minute per gun! Or over 144 rounds a minute total! I REALLY do NOT understand why, in almost every Gearing video, people almost NEVER use its guns til they are spotted, AND they kit the Gearing out entirely to buff torpedoes and AA and other POINTLESS to buff stats! If you own a Gearing, or indeed are grinding the USN DD line, Prioritize: Basic firing training, Situational Awareness, Torpedo armament expertise, Superintendent, Advanced firing training, and Concealment expertise! With JUST those skills, you will be able to shoot as far as 13.5km, will be able to Invisi-shoot as close as 9km, and your torpedoes will become even better, as you will easily be able to launch within 7km! Then, for modules, IMHO the choice is a no-brainer; Turret durability module, Increased accuracy module, increased RoF module, either Damage control mod 1 or Steering gears mod 1, Increased Acceleration module - as rudder shift is already insanely fast and this module will make you lose less speed when maneuvering and let you gain it back much faster, and last but MOST IMPORTANTLY - the Advanced Concealment module! Add in camouflage paint and the Gearing has a GREAT 5.5km surface detectabillity! And all of this will let you shell people as close or closer than 8.5km WITHOUT BEING SPOTTED! Which ALSO makes up for the Velocity difference between the Gearing and Khabarovsk, as the Khabarovsk cannot shoot anywhere near as closely as the Gearing without being spotted! Which also makes up for the range difference. IMHO, where the Khabarovsk MIGHT be OP is in how much damage it does with HE shells as well as the higher chance of fire. But only time will tell. Regardless, I don't feel like the Khabarovsk will be as good for my preferred play style. As the Gearing can be much more sneaky while invisi-firing at everything at quite close ranges as well! But then it also has FAST torpedoes, the biggest problem with the Khabarovsk's torpedoes is the 55 knot speed, which means that in many situations the Khabarovsk will have to be much closer to stand any chance of scoring any hits, but even then - they do the LEAST damage of any ship with any torpedoes at tier 10! With a full 2800 less than the Gearing's and over 5000 less than the Shimakaze's torpedoes! And the other set of torpedoes for the Khabarovsk MIGHT BE tempting IF they moved at least at 65 knots minimum, as they do great damage at over 19k, but nope! 55 knots and ONLY 6.5km range means that they are FAR more situational than the 10km ones which are already situational! I have played the Gearing ONCE! During CBT on a friend's PC! He let me buy the modules I wanted, but was QUITE confused that I chose to buff the guns at all! Obviously buffing concealment is the normal. Anyway that FIRST match, I was harassing EVERYONE! I ended up with 3 kills, and 52k direct HE damage with 68k in fires, 8km in flooding, and a whopping 56k from 5 torp hits, all against BBs, most of which were Yamato's and Montana's! Well after him seeing me do that we'll by CONSTANTLY using my guns without being spotted, he NEEDED to try it! Ever since then? In his words, " The Gearing has gone from a complete and utterly disappointing DD that I felt had absolutely no business being at the same tier as the Shimakaze, to what is now EASILY the my favorite and BEST ship I have ever played!... I can't believe I spent all that time basically ignoring it's guns, relying entirely on torpedoes to do any damage to any target that wasn't another destroyer, Thanks for making me feel like a moron!" As he was TOTALLY doubting me when I was buffing guns and camouflage in place of buffing torpedo reload time and torpedo turret traverse! As I was explaining to him that, when using purely torpedoes the Shimakaze is EASILY a great deal stronger! But the Shimakaze is basically useless for over 2 mins after launching all 15 type 93s! The Gearing is just awesome when used and kitted out properly.
