World of Warships - Quick Cut: Tier VI British Destroyer HMS Icarus

Playing mid-tier British destroyers is a fairly miserable experience in World of Warships. Take Tier VI's HMS Icarus here. Lacking notable gun power, mounting weak torpedoes with terrible range, and bereft of much utility, they're very unsatisfying to play. This game on Ring highlights many of the frustrations I have with the line.

Playing through them now, I thought the Jervis was a very nice upgrade from the Icarus. At the Lightning now and it rocks, really having fun.

@@nizzin91 The Lightning is very good but the Jutland and Daring at tier 9 and 10 are even better tier for tier. No surprise to see them in ranked a lot, especially better players. You will enjoy them no doubt.

Yeah i was getting used to shit t8 and t9 so i usually just grind to t7 and gring another line, i was pleasingly surprised how good lightning is

Haha! It's funny to me that you say it was such a pig of a ship, because I just played a few rounds and thought it was fantastic! BUT that probably has much to do with having started my WOWS grind down the russian DD line (boy did I die A LOT trying to learn with that line, wish I knew better then), so the Icarus is down right nimble after having tossed the ruskies around for so long. :D Great game, sir.
