हर साल 13 अगस्त यानी आज के दिन ‘वर्ल्ड ऑर्गन डोनेशन डे’ के रूप में मनाया जाता है। यह दिन लोगों का जीवन बचाने के लिए अपने स्वस्थ अंगों को डोनेट कर, प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए किया जाता है। नेशनल हेल्थ पोर्टल के मुताबिक भारत में लगभग हर साल 5 लाख लोगों की मौत सही समय पर ऑर्गन न मिलने की वजह से होती है। एक इंसान ऑर्गन डोनेट कर न जानें कितने लोगों को नया जीवन दे सकता है। किडनी, हार्ट, आंखें, फेफड़े आदि जैसे अंग दान करने से कई मासूम जानें बच जाती हैं। भारत सरकार द्वारा लगातार लोगों को अंगदान करने के लिए जागरूक किया जा रहा है। भारत में 27 नवंबर को 'ऑर्गन डोनेशन डे' मनाया जाता है। स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय की मानें तो 65 वर्ष की आयु तक व्यक्ति अंग दान कर सकता है।
Every year 13 August i.e. today is celebrated as 'World Organ Donation Day'. Don't know how many people can give a new life by donating an organ. Many innocent lives are saved by donating organs like kidney, heart, eyes, lungs etc. The Government of India is continuously making people aware to donate organs. Organ Donation Day is celebrated in India on 27 November. According to the Ministry of Health, a person can donate organs till the age of 65 years.
