Meanwhile, I'm max stats apart from prayer (iron), and I just completed regular gauntlet and barely *just* made it with an entire inventory of food that was entirely gone and 27 hp left lmao.

im not sure what hides the animation, but if you go under npc's in menu entry swapper, you can remove dead npc menus which is insanely helpful for grabbing shards/weapon upgrades/frames off of monsters and demi bosses within gauntlet.

Scouting a bow takes longer then killing first demi boss you see, if you get bear first, run is over and reset, mostlikely.

damage calculation happens as a projectile is launched, so you can switch to redemption before the projectile hits you and still have protection prayers negate damage

Protect range and magic dont fully work on this boss like they do with some other bosses and most NPCs in osrs. The protection prayer only reduced damage, not fully block it. So he is blocking the max hit down to a lower max hit. The tick when the attack happens you have protect on, then the tick when the damage lands you have redemption on. So it partially blocks the damage, and then redemption will heal you
