Love it! I grew up in San Antonio texas,where we have the Brackenridge Eagle 1/3 replica train (610 mm)......it has a couple of trestles,the bigest iron girder bridge is great but nothing like this. This trestle is fantastic how it passes so close between trees,very wonderful railway this man built.

Awesome video. Either that drone pilot must have had some balls or the aircraft was really small. I would personally never fly my own equipment that close to those trees. The trestle is also very impressive though I'd be incredibly worried about a derailment causing everything to fall.
@guardianobserver65938 жыл бұрын
Balls? He wasn't inside.
@czperiod25766 жыл бұрын
It is impressive. I'm wondering what the load limit is on the trestles, could buddies with steam engines ride on it, or would it be diesel/gasoline only. And the dedication: The guy could have built a tunnel under his front yard to keep it on grade but instead he made the ultimate trestle system.

Hi, do you have any videos on how you built the railroad.
@danosullivan62016 жыл бұрын
it seems like you need more cross bracing on your trestle i know the tracks hold it from the very top but i would add some more lower down
@royreynolds1084 жыл бұрын
Based on standard timber trestle plans of several railroads, it does need some more bracing on the taller sections between bents as sway bracing and longitudinal bracing. Also from a prototypical perspective, the deck truss should be supported on the ends and not between any of the nodes on the bottom chord. The construction looks to have been very well done.
