World Record Pen Turning

Do this at your own risk. Safety is important. I have turned thousands of pens in my years of turning and I’m comfortable working at this speed. That being sad I am not encouraging people to work this way it is mainly for entertainment.

So a week or so ago I had a party at my shop and Drew from Fisher's Shop called me out for how fast I can turn a pen. So I made one he posted it on IG and I got a handful of people asking me about it so here we go. In this video I turn a pen pretty fast I think I can do it fast but we will se if anyone can bet my time first. So if you want to try it has to be a slimline and you have to do the same steps I did. Block of wood and a pen kit to a finished pen.

yea hopefully no one tries it. I know it isn't the best idea to work fast. Im comfortable making pens like that bc I have made thousands but not everyone should. try at your own risk

A lot faster could be another video. Doing it like that makes things easier too. I think i can do this the same way and get it closer to 3:45 tho.

I wouldn’t think so bc just the lathe time was about 1 min and 20 sec which now that I looked at that I know I can do it way faster
