World's (2nd) Largest Maze - Dole Plantation | Oahu, Hawaii

We visited the Dole Plantation to explore the world's largest maze,* eat Dole whips, and learn all about pineapples. We definitely recommend stopping here if you're visiting Oahu.
*When we shot this in 2017, this was the world's largest maze. In June 2018, the Dream Maze took the title when it opened in Yancheng, Jiangsu, China. The Dole Plantation now has the 2nd largest maze, but since it was the largest maze in the world at the time we visited, you'll hear us say that in the video.

0:35 - Pineapple Garden Maze
The maze is a lot of fun to explore. It's unique in that you don't just want to find your way out, you want to find 8 secret stations placed throughout the maze. Each station teaches you a little about Hawaii so you learn a little and get some exercise. There are escape paths throughout the maze so you never have to worry about getting stuck in there.

Originally made by the Dole Food Company for the Enchanted Tiki Room in Disneyland, now you can find it all over Disneyland and Disney World. And here in Oahu at the Dole Plantation. It's hard to describe, you just have to taste it yourself. It's amazing.
6:47 - Pineapple Express Train
"Express" is a little bit of a misnomer. This train meanders through the pineapple fields and you learn about the history of pineapples in Hawaii and lots of interesting facts about the fruit. You also listen to the Pineapple Express theme song, which is pretty catchy.

Learn how to properly choose and then cut a pineapple, including tips on how to reduce the acidity.

Love the pineapple maze! I think I would have loved the pineapple whip more than that though! Here, in Missouri the closest thing we have is this yellow truck with a little dancing Polynesian on top selling pineapple whip out of the window lol. I'm sure it's nothing like that though. This is some kind of an iced pineapple thing. Don't get me wrong it's still quite tasty on a hot day though. Thanks for sharing. See you next time.
