I like it but I'm torn between this & the tirrinia mens wide brim sun hat with neck flap. It's only $3 cheaper & I don't care about that, but I would like to catch breezes when I can. I'm already a really sweaty guy & I feel like DDY's hat might be too close to my face on the sides. The other one fits more like a cape, no face part which I do wish it had although again that'd just make me sweat more. That would come in handy when I'm mowing though.

I always wear a sunhat. I work out side. I just wear the hat and I'm a ginger. I never get burned anymore

That's what I thought when I was Young but now I'm 78 years old and still working around my farm. Needless to say, but the sun damage is obvious to my face and arms. Even though I have worn long sleeved shirts an broad brimmed hats. But they weren't UV protected, nor did I use good quality ear protection. Lawn mowers and tractors noise for long periods will take their toll. Pay the money and get UV clothing protection and hearing protection. Don't be cheap. Like someone I know, me.

Do you still apply sunscreen as there are areas I can see when you wear the hat with face and neck protection where you would still get sunburned.

I really like the look of it. I want to go long distance bicycle touring and that looks perfect. Do you think it would flat around with the wind too much? Or should I go with a wide brim hat and a neck gaiter?

Good question. This is very light weight and I do think a wind would blow the brim flat up onto your forehead or down onto your face. More for low wind environments I would think. Thanks for watching!

Straw has holes which allows light to penetrate through the hat. That’s why straw hats don’t have any UV protection labels.

Awesome thanks! Also sun screen isn't real healthy especially since people don't wash it off well within 1 to 2 hours. There is some research that suggests cancer from some of the ingredients in sun screen that after wearing too long get absorbed through the skin. This prevents that. As far as looking like a bandit that's cool if you want to get excercise in public like walking or biking but don't want to be recognized while you put yourself out there. Thanks for the video
