the funny thing is there are answers in game to this. My first thought is spamming fangs with ignite and staggering their timings IF the war factory has 2.6 million health, ignite hits you for 156,000 damage per second for two seconds. or 300K per ignite. 2.6 million / 300K = 8.6.

Energy Diffraction on the Meltys was even worse. Not only does it reduce their range, but also their total damage output by 15%. The absolute worst upgrade you could get against large single targets.
