World's Biggest Plane Antonov AN225 Myria BLOWS DOWN the Fence at RAF Brize Norton - STRONG JETBLAST

Well, what an experience! Having made the 3 hour journey from Manchester to Brize Norton on Thursday 24th June in the hope of catching the worlds biggest plane; The Antonov 225 Myria, after a disappointing start (stay tuned for the next video), the departure more than made up for it!
Having arrived at 14:40 from Karachi, bringing in RAF Puma helicopters from Afghanistan, the 32 year old strategic airlift cargo aircraft spent just under 4 hours on the ground, before taxiing to runway 25 for departure back to Kyiv.
Having lined up for departure, the 225, with its 6 turbofan engines started its engine runs (normal procedure prior to takeoff). Being stood directly behind the aircraft, this power and the subsequent jetblast was extremely powerful and as can be seen on the video, was an immense battle to keep the camera straight and level!
Then takeoff thrust was applied! WOW!! Not only did the jetblast send us and our cameras flying, it also caused the perimeter fence to collapse, leaving the runway exposed! Many lay on the grass behind to shield from the blast whilst we ran for cover and attempted to catch the rotation!
After the aircrafts departure the Royal Air Force Police were quickly on the scene to access the damage, all in good humour!

That was NOT take-off thrust while standing still on the end of the runway! It's the required four minute engine warm-up. A light breeze, compared to take-off power.

229.5 kN (51,600 lbf) thrust on each of those engines, but I don't think they are using full thrust to take off from a 3,000m (10,000 ft) runway - the plane was empty. Good video!

I have experienced jet blast from a DC-10 at take off. With its high tail mounted third engine, the blast reaches above the height of 'normal' perimeter fencing and sent a lot of vehicles, side ways.

You can use an app like Flightradar24 and set an alert for anytime the aircraft is flying.

@@D0nlyJuan Thanks - I use FR24 regularly so will try that, but that would give you very little notice to get to an airport she was flying to as you'd only be alerted once she was enroute. Some people seem to know in advance what her schedule is, so I was curious if there is a forum somewhere?

Being behind a running jet engine is NEVER a smart idea, to say the least. And putting the horizontal bars on the OUTside of the poles wasn't a smart idea either, knowing that jets are taking off there. Lol.
