@ Racist Panda : There are many things that Predator 21X lacks although Rog GX 800 also lacks few things but not like Predator 21X i mean every product can't be perfect just look at those things first : 4K Resolution on Rog Gx 800 only 1080p on Predator 21X. Liquid Cooling Dock on Rog GX 800 but not on Predator 21X. Overclockable CPU plus GPU but not on Predator 21X. There are only two special things about Predator 21X that is Ultra Wide Monitor and Full Mechanical Keyboard while Rog GX 800 has only MechTag Mechanical Keyboard but again you can purchase a separate Mechanical Keyboard for Rog GX 800 therefore Asus wins here quite easily.

Yeah it's 60Hz but you can overclock the refresh rate of any type of a laptop or desktop monitor to some extent. You would surely void your warranty period though, but can experience the faster refresh rates. Maybe the max would be 80Hz or 85Hz depending on the type of monitor and graphics card. It's not much, but just to say that you can overclock your monitor too....

The display can be overclocked to around 75-80Hz in general. From personal testing, about 85Hz is the point in where the gains are nearly unnoticable. BUT...the experience improvement of going from 60Hz to 85Hz is ASTOUNDING. You HAVE to experience it yourself. It is SUCH an enormous advantage while gaming but also a pleasure!

this Predator 21X is really a monster. Serious 21" curved screen is something much much different plus that 120Hz is very valuable. I personally dont like the desktop cooling on GX800 even it is quite cool and looking futuristic, however it could do better with a larger screen and even more powerful with extremely low temperature. With such performance and still high temp, to me the dock looking more like a toy than a real good part of the machine Overall Acer did a good job eventhough they donot need liquidcooling technology to make quite even (or better) to that of Asus.

I really love laptops but there is one thing that i hate on them: Even if you have the best super extraordinary laptop, then after an average period of 5 years will come a better one with much better specs and the most important will have much better graphic card. The laptops unfortunately are not uppgradable on graphic cards so you end up to loose your interest of your previous much expesive laptop and it ends up forgotten on the top self of your closet..

acer predator 21x :- Its design and build quality is pretty solid. its ultra-wide display 120Hz G-Sync panel will put gaming in extreme level. And obviously it features 2 x NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1080 in SLI and an Intel Core i7-7820HK which can be overclocked even further. So this $9000 laptop (seriously!!!!) its a deal-breaker. 'But it also has some issues:- Some games don't support SLI configuration and gamers may face what is called "micro-stuttering" which can be annoying for such a beast of a laptop. And its 2560 X 1080 display - I wish Acer has gone with High-Res for more immersive experience. And obviously you shouldn't connect an external display as the Acer Predator 21x 's ultra-wide screen is huge!!!! And is weighs 8.5 kg without those two 1.5 kg power bricks of 330W. And the price tag is surely annoying for consumers $9000.
