Great video Phil. Another vote here for the Ku 😀. Marlene deBoer moved from Cadex to Ku recently. I spoke to her at Challenge Almere and the Ku tested faster in real world conditions with a person on the bike.

There's a lot of love for Ku here!

Quintanaroo VPRI is a great tri bike.
@PinkBunnySlipers29 күн бұрын
I would have put Cube and Quintana Roo Tri bikes on this list
@myprocoach12318 күн бұрын
They were on my longer list, but didn't quite make the cut. I should have included 10 bikes (or more!) 😂
@richardt96929 күн бұрын
I would think the new QR VPRi would be higher on the list.

Hey Phil! Thanks for coaching me & all the cool videos. What about Trek Speed Concept?
@myprocoach123Ай бұрын
No problem. I definitely love the look of the Speed Concept. In fact one of my team is getting one in the new year, so perhaps we'll do a deep dive on that bike then. It's definitely up there as a fast bike and it has great triathlon focused integration. If this list was slightly longer then it would have made the cut. :)

I think the larger frames hold more. I've only just bought it so just been on the turbo trainer so far. Bottle cage on the seat post easily holds a bottle and I told with very little negative aero impact.. I've only used a 500ml bottle but I think you could carry up to 1l and top up the bladder on the go. After that you would need a rear bottle cage.

Nice video Phil. I appreciate this is a personal look but I would include the latest Argon 119, Cube Aerium C68 and Trek Speed Concept (maybe a top 10 😀). At the top of my list though I'd have the Ku TF1 - I know of one pro who has switched from the Cadex to the Ku as it tests so much quicker with a rider on in real world conditions! And that's not Rico Bogen 😂.

Just bought a Cadex Tri and first impressions are great. Integrated liquid volume on the medium size frame is 900ml so not sure how you get to 2l unless you remove the gel/bar section and get a specialised bladder.
@myprocoach123Ай бұрын
Interesting, I'd heard it held more. That makes a difference in whether I'll be getting one! How do you find adding other bottles to the frame to increase the amount you can carry?
@hayabusa2722 күн бұрын
I recently saw a guy on a Cadex Tri pass by heading opposite way with a BIG smile on his face. In person That bike has a monster presence. The Big smile was after he saw my Cervelo P5X 😁 great conversation pieces these wierd bikes 😂

😂 you'll have to start a weird bike club. But I agree, they are huge talking points and a real window of innovation for the bike brands too, I'm sure they LOVE working on bikes like those.

Talk about Rico Bogen's Ku Cycle.
@myprocoach123Ай бұрын
It's definitely a 'different bike' and I love the completely different approach they've taken to frame design, but I'm not convinced it's a fast bike (yet). Maybe I need to try one and see for myself! Have you got a Ku or are you tempted by one?

My dream is the scott plasma - hopeful to get it in 2 years or so. Any advice?
@myprocoach123Ай бұрын
It was my dream for several years too, and eventually I got one. I love my Scott Plasma. The only downsides are: 1. The storage bottle for energy gel is too hard to reach during a ride. 2. The drinking tube and bite valve do not let enough liquid through, so I stopped using it. 3. It's not the lightest bike, but for flatter races that's no issue. Aside from that, it's all great. And I imagine in two years or so, there will be an improved version (Scott Plasma 7)!
@bri290892Ай бұрын
@ thanks for the feedback! I have my eyes on the cube as well… My first love was the canyon but there are too many around 😅 want something a bit different!

Some notable omissions, the Argon 18 E119 and E117, and Merida have updated the Time Warp Tri for 2025. Thanks for the content though ❤
@myprocoach123Ай бұрын
Absolutely, the E117 is a great new release from Argon18. One of my colleagues has the E119 and really loves the bike because of all the superb aero integrations. Thanks for the comment, these help keep the content coming 🙏🏻

Speedmax for the features, the look and the price

You're allowed to ride whatever bike you want to ride 🙂 Pick a bike you love to ride and training becomes much easier (I find anyway :) )

Scott plasma and Colnago TT 1 and KU TF1 missing from the list for me.. and abit personal, I think the Cadex is ugly..
@myprocoach123Ай бұрын
Super suggestions there. I'm not a fan of the KU bike (again, personally!). I've got the Scott Plasma, and although it's a lovely bike, some of the features like the gel bottle on the frame as one example are hard to use when training and racing which is partly why I didn't include that one. I do agree the Colnago TT is a thing of beauty :)
