World's fastest Tuned stock turbos BMW M850i

According to dragy times this car holds all but one #1 spot and that's about to change with taking the negative camber out to get the 0-60 mph #1 spot also. It has done a 2.5 0-60 on a sprayed dragstrip but wasn't recorded by dragy.
#1 spots on this run is all you see but the 1/2 mile. The time this car has done is 16.66 @163mph. Would have beat that on this run but it wasn't safe to go a 1/2 mile.

Hope it comes out great!! Who is doing it? Make sure you do downpipes and E30. Big difference between that and just a 93 tune. I've never ran the 93 tune. It made right at 600whp though so guessing 11.0s maybe.

@@patrickdietrich9353 gonna go with BM3 or RK tunes ( he’s 20 mins from me ) I already have intakes, red delete and VRSF Downpipes. I currently just have a JB4 on it ( already running a e30 blend ) best 1/4 so far has been a 10.71.

Enjoy the car some more stock. Do some bolt ons downpipe, exhaust, intake. You can remove it anytime you have to take it to the shop without any flags being raised. After your warranty is up go crazy.

@@thedragon356not really, we have a 2022 m850i and we installed a full f1 kit, downpipes, exhaust, and intakes. It’s a beats but we can’t figure out when they are gonna ur clock the computer because we don’t want to send the cpu out to finland

Unless your going catted down pipes you’re gonna have a check engine light. Best you can do really for warranty not to be void is exhaust and maybe intake.

Been trying to decide an 850 and 840i, love the 8 series looks and interior but don't know enough about the n63 vs b58. How has the reliability been? I see you've had it for awhile

These newer N63s are very reliable. I've not heard of any problems at all actually. Couple state a little oil burning but not anything dramatic. Mine uses none. I did have my rear coolant tank leak and shorted out drivers side injectors. Covered under warranty. The was 3 weeks after I got it. They gave me a 840i to drive. I did not care for it. 850 is totally different. Probably say the same about 850 and M8 though 😊

B58 is one of the most reliable and bullet proof modern mass produced engines. Its right up there with 2JZ in terms of reliability and tune-ability.

Hey Kevin. The car is actually a fair amount quicker now. I believe the information you asking is on the latest video. I think just click on my name and go to my very small channel and you can see what it runs now and info to get there. I don't think this particular video was with Xhp but has it now. It's on a E40 tune and different tuner now. Still getting it dialed in.

Hey man, how did u get ur car tuned? Did u send ur ecu out to finland? I have a m850i with full f1 intakes, exhaust, and down-pipes. I heard that sending it out to Finland they send a replacement ecu and it’s not reliable at all.

I didn't need too. Mine is a 19 so my tuner (Performance Eurowerks in Chicago) was able to bench unlock it with help from a company in Germany called "Big Flash". What year is your car?

If you're wanting hp and are going to build id invest in an M8 and build that. A fun daily car is an 850 with a real tune as you see here. It's safe and reliable at this level. M3 M4 would be a much better option.

Just Michelin pilot Sport 4S. They won't hook if I try to go full launch mode on the street. So 1800rpm is the best I've found to stay 2.9-3.0 0-60. Took it once to the dragstrip last year and went 1.55 60ft. 2.5 0-60 so it can do it just not on the highway.

I feel the pull from the roads shoulder, steering to the left was not a fair representation of the cars launch and time abilities. A straight line pull would shave some additional time so fairly fast yes, ability to go even faster yes. 😁

Not going to disagree but as far as a representation on the launch...I have yet to be able to come close to a real launch on the street . All season tires aren't for hole shots😅 I'll be adding nittos in the spring and believe I'll hit a high 10.3

@@patrickdietrich9353 That's exactly type of plan I was hoping to hear. That tire setup and launch should shave time. I seen the light years ago going to V8 cars and having a BMW with N55 (weak HP) having to scour forums and parts to evolve to 500 crank hp was dumb, when the N63T3 and S63 with just tune, downpipes, can get another 100 HP or so, and car be reliable. 😁

I have a 2021 X6 M50i with stage 2 tune from Pure Turbos, (400 cell downpipes, map and complete exhaust). The car produces 612 WHP and 850 WNM. My current times are 0-100:3.6 seconds , 100-200: 8.3 seconds. What do you think if I decided to put the new 800 Pure Upgrade Turbos. Does the engine can support more power reliably? Tom from what I understand the engine can hold 700 ft pounds of torque reliable. That's what I have. However, the reason mine makes this much power is because of running a E30 mix of fuel. We kept torque limiters setup for the first 3 gears to protect the rods. So my 0-60 isn't as good as it could be but my tires don't hold a full launch anyway so no big deal. On the track it has done a real 0-60 in 2.5 using your 0-100 its 2.6 ish. But that was a sprayed track. So yes , you could go Pure turbos and get a custom tune and keep it torque limited like we did . Rolls start in 3rd anyway if you're out playing. I just walked a Porsche Taycan turbo s this last weekend 😊

Pure Turbos said to me the same things you wrote me: in their opinion, the engine N63 Tu3 can support up to 700 WHP and 950 NM of torque ( converted to Pounds of torque it's what you have , 700). They of course will limit the torque to protect the rods and that's it. I don't care so much about my current 0-100 time, what I'm looking for is to improve my 100-200 times in order to stay in the 7's (maybe 6's high) with a beast of 2250 Kilos. 🙂

That E blend makes a big difference compared to pump gas. Do you have any fuel hardware mods or is it stock? I had a custom e47 tune on my 2012 CLS63 with downpipes and made 650whp from 510 who stock. I’m planning to get one of these m850i with a same E-blend tune

@@mars6338 Stock fuel system but can only handle an E30 tune. I guess around E40 it starts having issues. I stay around E33-34 mix.

@@mars6338 I left Dyno with 661. That was 19psi. Over the next couple months and 10-12 revised tunes , it will hit 24-25 psi starting at the top of 3rd. So it's over 700 anyway. At 661 it went 155 in half mile. Now it turns 163. Comparison, 2- Gt500s same day , went 154-155. They Dyno 680 whp and are 250 pounds lighter.

It's not the old bmw of yesterday. I have 28k miles and it's been a very reliable vehicle. Not many have any issues.

If it were me , I'd find an M8 (not competition) and get a tune like this. I think they can do a E50 tune. It would probably run 10.2s decently easy. Stronger motor and transmission and also lighter.

Bhp would be over 800 Nm= 950 guessing. But not untill the top of 3rd gear. Limited on first 3 gears to protect tranny and engine.

I do it in 2.6 right now. But there are many that can go 2.5 or under. Just not M850s. If you look at my channel you'll see this year's new records and a 2.6 0-60 along with a 10.16 @138.5 quarter mile.
