My 3 year old shark Apex is still working fine with monthly filter washes and my Dyson V10’s filters never get bogged down. Just know that many people think their vacuum stops working but they don’t realize that their vacuum even has serviceable filter(s). Plus a vacuum that is fully sealed with a true HEPA filter exhausts cleaner air than you breathed. I guarantee that after using the quantumx a regular vacuum will still find dirt.
@vincemajestyk9497 Жыл бұрын
Well that's the problem. Every vacuum they compared it against was clogged and poorly maintained. I use a Dyson and dump my bin EVERY time I vacuum and clean the other filters on a regular basis. The water turns this thing into an absolute nasty mess to clean. Just like practically everything, people don't maintain it at all and then when it doesn't work it's the products fault because they don't clean it. I've got some people that apparently don't even empty the dust cups on their bagless cleaners and complain every 6 months it's not picking up. The cup is jam packed and all the passages too.

Hello folks, Mr. Ed here. I just got one from my daughter and I'm eager to try it out. However, for all you doubters and frugals out there, get a Rigid wet/dry shop vac at your local Home Depot. A lot cheaper, powerful and (depending on size) a huge tank. Comes with hose and attachments. Good luck Wilbur!

I've had this vac for approx. 8 months or so and the problems I have with it is the fear of using the extension because I had to return the first one because of it. The wheels get hung up on my area rugs, needs better wheels, there's no place to keep the cord, I keep mine bunched up through the handle. The suction is fantastic, it really cleans well. Because it gets caught up on the edges of my carpets going from floor to carpet I wouldn't have purchased it. I have wool rugs and area rugs. The amount of animal hair it picks up is amazing!

I feel like this uses the same or a similar principle as a an oil bath filter on an antique car or vintage farm tractor, whereas the air cycles through the water, catching particles and dirt, and allowing the clean air to cycle back through the vacuum motor. Interesting.

1:13 is nobody going to talk about how their comparison is to a Dyson DC07 (which, just a reminder, came out in 2001)? Obviously, tech has changed since then. You can get a perfectly sealed system like even a Dyson V6 for much cheaper refurbished, and it'll still last (not going with how even the DC07 has stuff like an instant release wand, tons more suction, more agitation power bigger bin capacity, among much more.). This looks to have the quality of any other old Swiffer. Reason number one is pretty much completely voided for any dyson you own. Most sharks do clog up like that (known from personal experience) but I've had a dyson DC17 go 13 months with no maintenance (which it should not have, but still) the filter remained at a level where some little bit of washing would clear it. Remember, that this not that old of technology, and most dysons are properly HEPA-sealed. To get one of those that clogged as your demo shows, you'd have to suck enough plaster/concrete powder to become a brick, should you have used the same whatever in the Wet vacuum. also, you're bound to leave some dust behind on a first pass. It seems as though your "quantum test" only involves one pass (meaning one forwards and one backwards motion) on the area. Also, living in a house means that there is, to some extent, dust that you cannot do anything about. This would've settled onto the carpet after vacuuming (as it happens with ANY TIME YOU VACUUM). Moreover, the "miss under" issue is something that the wand was designed for. Most every dyson I've seen either has an instant release wand, to limit the time spent here, or has a cleaner head small enough to go under. Shark has their lift-away mode, which is on even some of their now older models, limiting it's price. As for water tech itself, well, you can't force dust into the water. If some misses, with there being no filter in sight this dust will be exhausted immediately, passing through the ducts as normal. Air bubbles will do most of the work here, and from there the lack of filters takes care of the rest. Finally, reminder that you can get Shark's highest praised vacuum (Shark Apex) for $30 dollars less, and have to deal with this mess. If that's not your style, then you can pick up a dyson V6 absolute for about $130 ($140 less than an apex) for a cordless with no filter BS to deal with (filters do not clog, vacuum is very reliable, again from personal experience) and the stick itself is sealed.

I was GIVEN one of these pieces of junk free. I just opened the box up, inspected it and put it all back in and closed it up. Once I saw the 'water' technology I was very leery of the claims. Seen some more honest reviews of it elsewhere. This design has a ton of flaws and downsides. Most people can't grasp the notion of maintenance on ANYTHING let alone vacuum filters, so this nasty water machine kind of forces the issue. They have to dump it and clean it every time. You really have to spend a lot of time cleaning it after each use. Seems like the hair binds the rollers and collects around the motor screen. Kind of ironically funny. It's a high maintenance machine for people too lazy to even clean bagless vacuum filters regularly.

What about lots of dog hair??
@QuantumVac5 жыл бұрын
The Quantum X will work incredibly well on dog hair. Since there's no traditional filters, nothing gets clogged or loses airflow, allowing you to continually pick up as much hair as possible, every time you use the vacuum! With our airflow rating of 80+ cubic feet per minute, you'll be pulling hair from the carpet, the padding underneath, and the floorboard beneath that! When dealing with lots of hair in general on any vacuum, you'll want to watch the beater bar in the power head. Over time, they can get hairs tangled in them that simply need to be snipped, then turn the machine on, and you're good to go! No more hassle, just easy cleaning that leaves a clean air smell behind like a fresh rainfall just passed by. We also offer fragrances to pair with the Quantum X!
