Good point! we normally do use a power tool when working with regular paint on cars but we were a little skeptical about using it on the Cybertruck because of the abrasiveness of bar keepers friend, however after I finished I came to the same conclusion and will try with a power tool next time. Griot’s Garage released a Ceramic Metal Polish not too long ago. It’s an AIO. I’m going to try on my brother in law’s cybertruck, and if it works I’ll see how durable it is. Maybe give it a try yourself if you got another cybertruck to do!

Yea I’ve seen a couple different products that I’d like to try like Dr Beaslys also has a metal coating in paste form but since I’m doing it for my clients and the coating I have already works I don’t have the opportunity to mess around with products. Perhaps if I had a test truck of my own then yea I’d do it. However I’d love to hear your results and feedback after you try it yourself, so yea let me know.

@@OQDetailing No problem, just what I can see you have a 17 1/2” wide furnace and a 21” wide A/C coil on top. Not at all saying this can’t work but it should be matched cabinet sizes for best efficiency or a proper transition for one to the other for best air flow. Also on the furnace I didn’t see any signs that a combustion test has been done to ensure it is safe. There would be a small hole (taped or plugged off) in the flue right above the furnace indicating a combustion test had been performed. I’m guessing the furnace was replaced within last 5 years or so. Hope this helps man!

It will depend on your area but you can expect any where from $80-$200 for combustion test only (not including trip/other fees) but might want to check with your local company(s) this test may (in my opinion should) be included in a typical maintenance check. I tried spray wax and it also turns the panels a different color so that’s a no go, however I don’t know about traditional paste wax as I didn’t try that. I’m guessing it will be a similar result but idk yet. Something to find out in the future

Should have mirror finish polished it, before applying the metal ceramic coating. It would bead the water better. Not bad though 👌

What is the L seen on the rear side panel when you are demoing the water beading? It looks like a finger written letter but it doesn’t come off when you spray and that doesn’t seem great.

Our hope was to theoretically & hypothetically. 1. get less fingerprints or at least reduce how easy it is to get them with the coating 2. Easier to wash/clean in the future 3. Prevent etching from bird poop & bug guts 4. Prevent rusting if there is any We are still testing and finding out the effectiveness of the coating and above theories so subscribe and stay tuned for more updates

Stainless steel of Cybertruck is not difficult to clean. Non expensive basic stuff can be used to clean it

At the beginning of the video you said you would show if this process reduced.the extent of fingerprints on the finish. Yet after spraying it down not one attempt of touching the finish to see. Not even a mention of any further testing for fingerprints or a timeline of when such a video might be available. Not a total waste of time but extremely disappointing. May unsubscribe if nothing about actual effectiveness of process is not forthcoming soon. Sorry if this feels harsh but you are the one who said you would show this at the end of the video 😒

To address your concern, your best bet is to put PPF if you’re concerned about fingerprints. This helps reduce the rate and appearance of fingerprints but it doesn’t stop them; it’s just a cheaper option but not perfect.

Good stuff, the only thing is that bar keepers friend has micro abrasives so it’s not something I personally would want to use every single time. This is why after using bar keepers friend I recommend maintaining with the rinseless wash for your regular washes
