The reason it takes off when in gear at idle is there is a washer behind the small gear from the gear reduction you have to take cover and the clutch off to get to it but that will fix your issue i bought one and it had that same issue i took the washer out behind the primary gear and problem solved

@@CAROLINARUTCUTTERZ I trade a clapped out 300ex for that 300 because the guy that installed the reduction couldn't get it fixed and was tired of messing with it all it was that that little washer
